Chapter 411 Xavier Has Completely Lost It

"What the hell are you doing? Put me down!" Grace yelled, squirming in Xavier's grip, but he didn't even flinch.

Anyone who saw them wouldn't dare mess with an angry Xavier.

Not too far away, Scott was chilling with his coffee. When he saw what was happening, he bolted after them. "Where are you taking Grace?"

Xavier didn't even acknowledge him. He just kept moving, shoving Grace into the passenger seat and locking the door in a flash.

As Scott got closer, Xavier floored it and sped off.

Grace felt a wave of nausea, maybe from the car's smell or the way Xavier had manhandled her. She gagged and covered her mouth, missing the worried look on Xavier's face.

"What's wrong?" Xavier asked, noticing her discomfort and quickly pulling over.

Grace ignored his question. "What do you want from me?"

She couldn't figure out what Xavier was up to.

She wanted to give his clothes back; she didn't want to wear them.

"Put it on!" Xavier snapped, his face hard and his mood clearly foul.

"Don't push me," Grace shot back.

Xavier smirked, "Fine, I don't mind you wearing a swimsuit in front of me."

Grace, who was about to throw his clothes back at him, froze.

Reluctantly, she put on the clothes, not wanting Xavier to see any more of her skin.

Xavier didn't drive far; he just wanted to lose any potential followers.

He stopped the car and, worried Grace might be cold, turned on the heater. They sat there in silence.

"I don't think we have anything to talk about," Grace finally broke the silence.

Xavier's eyes were filled with a mix of longing and restraint, his knuckles white from gripping the steering wheel.

He knew dragging Grace out like that was impulsive and not part of any plan. He just couldn't stand other men ogling her.

These past few days, jealousy had driven him insane.

His actions had long since overpowered his reason; he was head over heels for her.

Every day without her felt like an eternity. He had become a different person, no longer rational or composed.

He thought he could slowly let her go, but he realized his feelings for Grace were too deep, embedded in his very being.

Xavier was still looking into Joseph's situation. He had been too down lately. He never thought someone could affect him this much.

Without Grace, he felt like he couldn't go on.

"So, what's going on with you and Sterling?" Xavier's voice dripped with jealousy.

"What right do you have to question me?" Grace shot back, glaring at him.

He looked exhausted, his eyes bloodshot. He wasn't doing well at all.

Seeing him like this still hurt Grace. She couldn't understand why Xavier was like this; she thought he should be happy with his revenge complete. But he seemed worse off than she was.

"I... I just want to tell you, Sterling is dangerous," Xavier stammered.

"I don't care. At least with Sterling, there are no family grudges. I knew from the start he had an agenda, but so what? At least he didn't pretend to like me and make a fool of me," Grace retorted quickly.

Xavier opened his mouth but couldn't find the words to defend himself.

Xavier couldn't help but remember all the harsh things he'd said to push Grace away.

"Xavier, what right do you have to say Sterling is dangerous? Aren't you the most dangerous one? Just stay away from me. Who I choose to be with is none of your business," Grace snapped, pushing the car door open and stepping out.

Grabbing the hem of the coat, she added, "Mr. Montgomery, you don't mind about the coat, right? I'll toss it when I get home, so don't expect it back."

Xavier watched her walk away, her words echoing in his mind. They really had nothing to do with each other anymore.

A sharp pain throbbed in his temples, making it hard to think.

His phone rang; it was Mason.

"Talk," Xavier answered coldly.

"Mr. Montgomery, as you instructed, those who were targeting Iris have been dealt with, and opportunities have been arranged for them," Mason reported.

"Good," Xavier nodded.

Iris's rapid rise had attracted some unwanted attention, but Xavier had quietly taken care of it before Grace even knew.

After hanging up with Mason, Victor called. "Xavier, you're still in Skigeth, right? Want to grab some drinks tonight? It's been a while."

"Let's go now," Xavier replied.

"What?" Victor was shocked, thinking he misheard.

Victor couldn't help but wonder how drunk Xavier would get if they started drinking now.

The car hadn't gone far. Scott had already caught up. "Grace, did Xavier do anything to you?"

"No," Grace shook her head.

"You scared me," Scott said, relieved. He thought Xavier was trying to take Grace away.

"Scott, I'm going back to rest," Grace said, her face filled with melancholy.

"Okay, I'll take you back," Scott nodded, playing the role of her protector.

Back in her room, Grace got a call from Lily. Lily said they had received two big orders, and even before the new year, the company had already exceeded next year's targets.

There was another order from a company in Skigeth; the client wanted to meet Grace in person.

Grace agreed, saying they could meet tomorrow.

After hanging up with Lily, Grace took a shower and started working.

Only work could make her forget Xavier.

She hoped her words today would keep Xavier from showing up again.

By evening, Grace had her dinner delivered to her room.

She ate sparingly, maybe the unborn baby understood her situation and wasn't causing her much discomfort.

Knowing she had work tomorrow, Grace planned to go to bed early, aiming to turn off the lights by nine.

After making sure her door was locked, Grace turned off the lights and got ready for bed.

But as soon as she turned around, she heard the sound of her door being swiped open.

Her heart skipped a beat. The room was pitch black. She only had time to see a tall figure in the light from outside before being grabbed.

The strong smell of alcohol hit her, giving her no time to think. Hot lips pressed down on hers, and Xavier's actions were rough, like a beast finally let loose, devouring its prey.

In Grace's eyes, Xavier had completely lost his mind.
