Chapter 395 The Plan Is Exposed, Still Arguing

Wendy's face had already gone pale. Even though Patrick hadn't spelled it out, she knew the truth about her background.

She wasn't really a Coleman.

If those test results came out, she was done for.

She had no idea what to do. She'd never been decisive, not since she was a kid. Neither she nor Ryan had inherited Patrick's sharp mind.

"Are... are you doubting me? We've already done the test," Wendy stammered, almost in tears.

"If you're really our sister, the results will be the same no matter how many times we test. What are you so scared of?" Steven's gaze was piercing.

"I..." Wendy was so freaked out by his stare that she couldn't get a word out.

She needed to call Patrick and let him know what was going on.

Steven saw her but didn't stop her. It was better to settle things face-to-face when Patrick got back.

Wendy glared at Kelly, "You! You wretched woman. You're behind this! You want to destroy me!"

Her outburst was anything but ladylike.

Thomas shook his head. Compared to Grace, Wendy was definitely lacking.

In every way, Grace seemed more impressive.

Even though Grace’s family was pretty ordinary, they were super protective of her. They wondered how Elizabeth had ended up with such a man.

This guy must have made some deal with Elizabeth, probably got a lot out of it. But after Elizabeth passed, they treated Grace like this.

"I didn't say anything. Don't blame me for your own actions. You usually bully me and Grace, but do you have to pin everything you and your dad did on me in front of everyone?" Kelly deliberately mentioned Grace, partly to clear her own name and partly to get these people to come down hard on Wendy.

She'd never liked Wendy.

Wendy clenched her fists, wanting to slap Kelly.

Ever since Kelly came into this house, everything had changed; the whole place had become a mess.

Looking at Kelly's smug face made her even angrier.

Time ticked by, and before the test results were out, Patrick returned.

"Mr. Coleman, what's the meaning of this? This is the Montgomery Mansion. Isn't it a bit much to bring so many people here?" Patrick had rushed back from the company.

Ryan followed behind Patrick, coming back with him. "What are you all doing here? Do you not respect the Montgomery family anymore?"

Steven stood up. "Mr. Montgomery, it's good you're back. I still think we should re-test whether Ms. Montgomery is my sister. I brought people and equipment, so the results should be out soon. Why don't you join me, Mr. Montgomery?"

A flicker of something passed through Patrick's eyes. The Coleman family was no joke.

It seemed his plan was going to fail.

"Alright." Patrick had no choice but to agree.

"But what's with Mr. Coleman's people being here? It's not appropriate in the Montgomery Mansion, is it?" Patrick's eyes narrowed, already scheming a way out.

"Mr. Montgomery, relax. If the results show Wendy is indeed my sister, I'll apologize to you," Steven said coldly.

"Alright, since you don't trust the previous results, I'll wait," Patrick said.

"Mr. Montgomery, is the crystal you mentioned last time still with my sister?" Steven asked.

"Of course," Patrick replied, not knowing that his crystal had already been swapped and still thinking it was the real deal.

Steven's eyes darkened. He had heard from Scott that the crystal was actually snatched by Patrick.

Patrick was pure evil, rotten to the core. It seemed he hadn't done any less harm to Grace.

They had seen the online forced marriage incidents and had already felt sorry for Grace. Now it seemed that if Grace hadn't insisted on breaking off the engagement, she would have been bullied in the Montgomery family by now.

"Can I see it again?" Steven asked.

"Sorry, didn't you already see it last time?" Patrick wasn't going to take it out again.

Even if his plan were to fail, without the crystal, Grace could never obtain the wealth. Even if he couldn't get it, Grace shouldn't think of getting it, either!

Steven didn't mind; the real crystal was with Grace. Patrick's fake one was meaningless.

At this moment, someone came out with the test report. "Mr. Coleman."

Steven hadn't even looked at the results when he saw the tester shaking his head.

Fair enough, the final result showed no familial relationship.

Even though he had expected this result, Steven still felt a surge of anger in his chest.

They had almost fallen into Patrick's trap!

"Patrick, the Montgomery family conspired to deceive the Coleman family!" Steven threw the report in Patrick's face, and the bodyguards he brought surrounded the Montgomery family.

"What do you Colemans want?" Ryan was furious at the scene.

No matter what, Steven wasn't afraid of the Montgomery family.

They had brought many individuals to Skigeth this time. With the Coleman family's power, teaching the Montgomery family a lesson was a piece of cake.

Of course, this was assuming Xavier didn't intervene.

But Xavier didn't have a good relationship with the Montgomery family, so he wouldn't intervene.

Patrick declared, "I am entirely unaware of what is transpiring here; I have never deceived any of you."

"Still trying to argue?" Thomas looked at Patrick, who was indeed shameless.

Despite the evidence being plainly visible, Patrick continued to argue. "I'm not! You saw Wendy at the airport and came to find me. You wanted to do the test, and we went to the hospital together. The test was done by the hospital. What does it have to do with me? You wanted Wendy to go to Aetheria with you. Wendy didn't want to go; it wasn't me stopping her. Now, how is it all my fault? How did it become me deceiving you?"

"You said Wendy was your sister, and now you bring an army of thugs to my home and demand another test. Now you say Wendy isn't your sister. How do we know your results are accurate? What if you've simply changed your minds about Wendy? What if you simply don’t want to acknowledge her as your sister anymore?" Patrick had a glib tongue, having already thought of how to exonerate himself from this outcome.

Not only did he make it seem like he had no fault, but he also blamed everything on the Coleman family.
