Chapter 130 Kelly Was Released

"Are you kicking me out?" Ryan pointed at himself. Shouldn't Xavier be the one to leave? After all, he was her fiancé! He continued, "If I leave, do you want to be alone with Xavier? No way!" No matter what, Ryan wasn't going to leave.

Grace couldn't be bothered with Ryan. Just as she was about to get some water, she heard Xavier say. "Grace, bring the water over."
She glanced at the water in her hand. It was originally given to her by Xavier last time, so if he wanted to drink it, it didn't matter.
Grace walked over. "Are you thirsty?"

Seeing Grace's preferential treatment, Ryan cursed her in his heart for being so snobbish, immediately trying to please Xavier and completely ignoring him!
Xavier took the water but didn't drink it right away. Instead, he looked over at Ryan, as if to say Ryan was useless.

Ryan shook his head, thinking he must be overthinking it. How could Xavier compete with him over a bottle of water?

"Xavier, dinner's ready." Grace had no intention of calling Ryan.
Ryan was so thick-skinned to come over himself and saw the simple food on the table, saying in a tone of extreme disdain, "What is this? Even my dog eats better than this."
"What, do you think Xavier is worse than your dog?" Grace countered.

Ryan quickly corrected himself. "Xavier, that's not what I meant."

However, Grace only took out utensils for herself and Xavier and only served food to Xavier, completely ignoring Ryan.

Ryan complained, "What about mine?"
"You said your dog eats better than this. Why would you even want my food?" retorted Grace.
Although Ryan had already had dinner, the aroma of the food made him feel a bit hungry again. The food, though simple, did smell quite good.
Ryan said, "I'm just sparing your feelings. If someone else made this, I wouldn't even eat it."

Grace sneered but still didn't get any utensils for Ryan, while he went into the kitchen, enduring the unpleasant smell. "Grace, where are your utensils?"

Grace ignored him and served Xavier a bowl of soup. "Have some of this."
"Okay." Xavier looked down at his phone, seemingly sending a message.

Just as Ryan finally found some utensils and came out of the kitchen, he received a call from his company.
"What? What happened?" Ryan was annoyed. "Got it, I'll be there right away."

Ryan hung up the phone and turned to Xavier. "Xavier, I have to go. Since you've had some drinks, I'll leave the driver downstairs. Whenever you want to go back, just tell the driver."

Ryan wasn't completely stupid; he knew to leave the driver here to keep an eye on Xavier, afraid that Xavier might stay overnight.

Seeing Ryan leave, Grace immediately guessed, "Did you arrange this?"
Xavier didn't deny it. "Did you want him to stay and have dinner with you?"
"Of course not. If he stayed, I wouldn't be able to eat." It almost ruined this whole table of food.
"Xavier, if you see Ryan next time, don't let him in," Grace said.

Xavier paused. He had come so many times and never ran into Ryan once. So, was Grace inviting him to come again next time?
Xavier looked up at Grace, who didn't seem to notice anything wrong with what she had said.

As Grace ate, she continued, "For the first time, I think Kelly is somewhat useful, being able to tame a troublemaker like Ryan. When Ryan was hanging around Kelly every day, he wasn't that annoying. But ever since Patrick took Kelly somewhere, I keep running into that annoying guy Ryan!"

When Kelly was around, if Ryan wanted to locate her, she would always manage to call him back. Grace had never missed Kelly this much before. Perhaps she could speak to Patrick and request that he release Kelly?

"Let's not talk about them anymore. Eat quickly before it gets cold. I just made something simple; I don't know if you'll like it," Grace said.

Grace's cooking was indeed good. The food was simple but smelled delicious, evoking a sense of home.
After dinner, Xavier didn't stay long at Grace's place and left soon after. However, he didn't use Ryan's driver; instead, he called his own driver to come over.
After leaving, Xavier made a phone call. "Reveal Kelly Simmons' whereabouts to Ryan."

After Kelly was taken by Patrick, Ryan had individuals consistently attempting to determine her location. Eventually, Ryan seemed to lose interest in Kelly and stopped pursuing the matter.

Now, the individuals Ryan had enlisted had discovered Kelly's whereabouts and promptly informed Ryan of the address. Kelly was being held in a small house in the suburbs.
Observing this, Ryan didn't experience the excitement or thrill he had anticipated.

Two days later, Xavier's people reported back to him. "The information has been given to Ryan, but he doesn't seem to be taking any action."

Xavier's eyes looked ahead, his gaze unfathomable. He lightly parted his thin lips. "If Ryan won't act, then act for him."

Kelly was being held by Patrick in the suburbs. The house was not small, but it was surrounded by bodyguards, making it nearly impossible for Kelly to escape, even if she had wings. The signal was also blocked, so Kelly couldn't contact the outside world.

Kelly had tried many methods—pretending to be sick, refusing to eat or drink—but nothing worked. Patrick was a ruthless person; he wouldn't care even if she starved to death.
She could only pray that Ryan would eventually confront Patrick and find her.

Kelly had been locked up for over a month, and there was no sign of pregnancy. Was that man even capable? They had been together several times that night, so why wasn't she pregnant yet?
During Kelly's absence, she wondered if Grace would take the opportunity to seduce Ryan.

Just when Kelly was at her wit's end, she noticed that the person delivering her food today seemed different from before. As the person handed her the food, they quietly said, "Ms. Simmons, Ryan sent me. He asks to pretend to be sick; he has a way to get you out."
Kelly was shocked—it was Ryan! She nodded excitedly, indicating she understood.

By the afternoon, Kelly claimed she was feeling unwell and in severe pain. With Xavier secretly pulling the strings, Patrick was no match. Soon, Kelly was sent to the hospital.

After being freed, Kelly called Ryan right away, who was busy and irritated, taken aback by the call. He thought he was imagining things initially. Once he confirmed it was indeed Kelly, he answered, "Hello, Kelly."

Kelly's crying voice came through the phone, "Ryan, I feel so awful. Where are you? I miss you so much."
In the past, Kelly's coquettish voice would have been very effective on Ryan, but now, he found it a bit tiresome.
