Chapter 125 Rumors About Xavier and a Woman Spread Like Wildfire
Xavier tapped his hand on the table, musing, 'Does Grace want to get married? Well, it depends on him! After all, they had slept together. Why does Grace have such poor taste?'
Xavier watched the video three times. The man was short, fat, and bald. What did Grace see in him?
His speech was full of male chauvinism; he was not even average, just pure trash among men.
But those two glasses of water thrown at the end were well done. Angela must have gone with Grace; they were practically inseparable.
It was all Omari's fault for giving Grace such lousy advice.
Xavier immediately called Mason. "Turner Group seems too idle lately. Put some pressure on them and give the new heir something to do."
Mason naturally understood what Xavier meant. "Yes, Mr. Montgomery."
Mason pondered, 'Wasn't Omari just discussing business with Xavier recently? How did he manage to offend Xavier?'
After giving his orders, Xavier sent a message to Victor: [Delete the video on your phone, and also contact the restaurant to delete the surveillance footage.]
Victor called immediately. "Why? Why delete everything?"
Xavier replied coldly, "Because you sent the message so promptly that everyone saw it during the meeting."
Victor was silent. He really didn't know Xavier was in a meeting at that time.
"Didn't you ask them to keep it confidential? If you had said a word, they wouldn't have leaked anything," Victor said.
"Why should I ask them to keep it confidential?"
Victor was puzzled. What exactly did Xavier mean by that?
Now, everyone knew Xavier had a woman.
Victor couldn't figure out his friend. Since childhood, Xavier had always been different from theirs. He could always see the future with every step he took, and almost every choice he made was the right one.
"I don't get it," Victor said.
Xavier looked ahead, his eyelashes fluttering lightly. "You don't need to get it."
The rumour about Xavier spread quickly.
Even Stephanie, far away in Oakworth, received the news while she almost smashed everything in her house, throwing a huge tantrum.
Who was it? Which woman had seduced Xavier?
Stephanie had already sent people to investigate, but there was no information at all. It seemed there was no woman around Xavier.
Stephanie felt a huge sense of crisis. She had already felt something was off with Grace last time, but this made her a bit relieved; it shouldn't be Grace.
Grace was Ryan's fiancée; she couldn't possibly be dating.
So who was it? When Xavier was in Oakworth, there wasn't a single woman around him. How come so many women were after him after just one trip to Skigeth?
If she didn't go soon, what if...
Stephanie went to plead Joseph, insisting she had to go to Skigeth.
"Grandpa, if I don't go to Skigeth soon, my future husband will be taken away by another woman. Please let me go?"
If it weren't for Joseph's obstruction, Stephanie would have gone to Skigeth last time.
"No way!" Joseph disagreed. "You're a girl, the eldest daughter of the Park family. How can you be chasing after a man all the time?"
"Grandpa, you know how much I like Xavier. I haven't seen him for so long; I really miss him." Stephanie knew Joseph was the one who doted on her the most.
"No, Stephanie. Liking someone doesn't mean you should degrade yourself. I can't watch you do this to yourself!" Joseph refused resolutely.
No matter what, Joseph wouldn't budge. Stephanie got angry; if Joseph wouldn't let her go, she would find a way to go herself. She called Xavier, but he didn't answer. If she didn't go and get rid of those women around Xavier, he might never come back from Skigeth!
On the other side, Patrick, who was always keeping an eye on Xavier, quickly learned about this too.
During dinner, Patrick asked Ryan, "Did you know Xavier's girlfriend went on a blind date?"
"What?" Ryan had no idea.
Xavier's girlfriend, could it be that woman?
"Are you blind? The news has spread, and you don't know!" Patrick was furious.
"Dad, how could I know? You've been investigating for so long and still don't know who the woman around Xavier is. I want to know more than you do!" Ryan was very agitated.
Ryan had been chasing that mysterious woman for so long, and until now, he didn't even know her name and had only seen her twice.
Yet Xavier managed to get her so quickly, and he was angry about it.
"So, it seems this woman isn't Grace," Patrick said, his murky eyes filled with dark calculations.
He had previously thought that Grace and Xavier had an unusual relationship, perhaps some unspeakable secret between them.
But if Xavier's girlfriend went on a blind date, it couldn't be Grace. Grace was Ryan's future wife.
Ryan hadn't inherited even a fraction of Patrick's cunning; he was just a blockhead.
"Dad, what do you mean? How could it be Grace?"
"Nothing. Xavier and Grace have a good relationship, don't they? Go ask Grace if she knows anything about this," Patrick said.
He was determined to find that woman. He would have someone investigate who sent Xavier the video and who went on the blind date.
"Grace can't possibly know. Even if Xavier looks at her more than once, it's only because she's my fiancée." Ryan seemed confident.
"Do as I say!" Patrick shouted.
Ryan didn't dare to lift his head in front of Patrick. "I have to finish my meal first!"
Ryan quickly finished his meal. Under Patrick's stern gaze, he reluctantly called Grace.
However, Grace didn't answer. Ryan said, "Dad, Grace isn't answering my call. That's not my fault, right?"
"Keep calling. Why aren't you nicer to Grace?"
"How am I not nice to Grace? She's the one with high standards. She thinks she can control me just because I'm good to her." Ryan felt he had already seen through Grace's tricks.
Patrick thought otherwise. He believed Grace didn't care about Ryan at all. Although Grace seemed obedient, she was definitely not someone who could be easily manipulated.
Ryan continued to call Grace. Finally, Grace picked up. "Ryan, what's up?"
"I didn't want to call you. I just have something to ask you."
"What is it?" Grace asked impatiently, because she had a pile of reports waiting to be reviewed.
"You and Xavier are still on good terms, right?" Ryan asked directly.
Ryan suddenly mentioning Xavier made Grace's hand holding the pen pause.
She thought, 'What did Ryan mean by this? Did he find out something about her and Xavier?'
"What do you mean?" Grace's tone had a hint of nervousness.
