"Is that so?" Xavier approached directly, his body aiming for the opening of the glass bottle.
"You..." Grace probably hadn't expected the man to show no fear.
She tightened her grip on the bottle, prepared to stab it in if the man really intended to do something.
But as the man got closer, a cool breeze hit her face, and her body seemed to be sensitive to this particular scent.
This aroma seemed to only belong to Xavier.
Thinking of Xavier, Grace carefully examined the person in front of her; he really resembled Xavier.
Her brain malfunctioned, and she relaxed her guard. Xavier's hand reached out and effortlessly took the bottle from Grace's hand.
She must have drunk too much to think she saw him in this place.
"Can you still walk?" Xavier's voice was as clear as always.
Grace shook her head. Drunk Grace had a kind of indescribable docility. Her long eyelashes blinked, and she reached out and rubbed her flushed cheek, trying to sober up.
"I can't walk. I need to find Angela."
Just as Grace started to move forward, a strong arm grabbed her waist from behind. The arm was powerful, and the muscles were both sexy and perfect. With just one hand, Xavier lifted Grace.
"Didn't you call me to come over?" Xavier's voice had a hint of threat, like a cunning fox playing with its prey.
Grace realized that she had indeed called the driver.
"I have a friend over there." Grace pointed.
"I have already sent Angela back," Xavier said, carrying Grace and walking outside.
The suit's collision with the school uniform caught the attention of bystanders, who started imagining various scenes in their heads.
Xavier threw Grace into the back seat of the car and tugged at his tie, his mouth feeling a bit dry.
"Driver, go to Cedar Hills," Grace stated her neighborhood's address.
Xavier remained silent.
So, they really took him for a driver.
Xavier had come with a driver, but of course, the driver listened to the boss. He looked at Xavier and asked, "Mr. Montgomery, are we going to Cedar Hills?"
Xavier looked at the woman in the car, a cold smile curling his lips.
Taking her home, how lovely the thought was!
"Go back to the Bameran villa," Xavier said.
"Yes," the driver replied.
Xavier was curious to see Grace's reaction when she woke up the next morning and found herself at his place.
He got into the car with Grace and sat in the back seat together. The business car was spacious, and there was plenty of distance between them.
The woman next to him had her eyes closed, looking uncomfortable. The effects of drinking too much were definitely taking a toll on her, but Grace couldn't help but feel drawn to that familiar presence. She wanted to be closer.
Finally, she leaned against his body, and Grace felt content. A smile formed on her lips as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Xavier watched as the woman inched closer towards him, her head resting on his thigh. His brows furrowed, and his dangerous eyes squinted.
Although Xavier could have easily pushed her away with one hand, he didn't move.
At this moment, all his germophobia, dislike of being touched, and the lingering smell of alcohol seemed less important.
Grace's warm breath was so close that he could feel it through his thin shirt. Xavier became increasingly parched as if a flame was flickering within him.
The car was driving smoothly when suddenly, it slammed on the brakes. Grace's body leaned forward, but Xavier quickly reached out and caught her before she hit the footrest.
As a result, her face came into intimate contact with Xavier's abdomen.
Seemingly uncomfortable, she let out a soft moan, causing Xavier's blood to boil.
"I'm Sorry, Mr. Montgomery. A car suddenly cut in front of us," the driver quickly apologized. Through the rearview mirror, he could already see Mr. Montgomery's face turning as dark as the bottom of a pot.
"Drive slower!"
"Yes." the driver heaved a sigh of relief.
From then on, the driver maintained a steady speed.
They soon arrived at the Bameran villa. Grace seemed to be already asleep. Xavier calmed his desires and waited until he had cooled down a bit before getting out of the car and carrying Grace inside.
Previously, if someone had said that a woman could arouse his physical desires, Xavier would never have believed it.
He had been in contact with all kinds of women, be it powerful women, delicate flowers, beautiful or mediocre ones—women who had thoughts about him, used all their tricks to seduce him or plotted against him. The list goes on.
Every time, Xavier would feel disgusted. Even if he had just shaken hands with those women, he would go home and wash his hands thoroughly.
But with Grace, this germophobia seemed to disappear.
Moreover, Grace seemed to provoke his emotions effortlessly.
Be it anger or desire.
In Xavier's embrace, Grace appeared delicate and serene, now sound asleep, her clear eyes tightly shut, breathing steadily.
As Xavier just got out of the car, the butler hurried over: "Mr. Montgomery, you've finally returned."
Seeing the woman in Xavier's arms, the butler first froze, so Mr. Montgomery left hastily earlier for a woman.
"What's the matter?"
Before Xavier could speak, a car drove up quickly and arrived in front of Xavier.
The car door opened, and two individuals descended from it.
"Xavier." It was Ryan and Patrick.
The butler actually wanted to convey that the Montgomery family had recently visited.
Just as Xavier had left not long ago, Patrick and Ryan came promptly.
The butler informed them that Xavier wasn't present; Patrick said it was fine and watched their car depart. Hence, the butler didn't phone Xavier. Clearly, these two had yet to go far at all; upon spotting a returning vehicle, they followed.
Since they hadn't seen Xavier before, they were here to intercept him directly.
Upon seeing Xavier holding a woman, both Patrick and Ryan were momentarily stunned.
Aware previously of a woman in Xavier's life, Patrick quickly recovered and said, "I'm really sorry, Xavier, it seems I've come at a bad time and interrupted you again."
Patrick wanted to catch a glimpse of the woman's face, but because her face was turned toward Xavier's arms, it was shielded securely.
After learning about the woman at Xavier's place last time, Patrick considered sending a woman his way as well. However, when he did send one over, Xavier reacted negatively, causing Patrick not to dare make any move.
Judging by her attire, was she a college student?
Was Xavier fond of youth, perhaps?
Unsure if this woman was the same as the previous one, what kind of charm did she possess to captivate Xavier?
Conversely, nearby, Ryan smirked contemptuously, quipping about Xavier's supposed disinterest in women, yet here he was, bringing one home.
His father praised Xavier so much, but in his eyes, Xavier wasn't that different from him after all.
