Chapter 164 She Saw Xavier and Stephanie Shopping
"Really, what does that have to do with me?" Grace said coldly.
Ryan listened to Grace's voice, which seemed as usual, without a hint of jealousy. Could it be that he was overthinking, and Grace actually had no feelings for Xavier?
"I'm very busy, bye." With that, Grace directly hung up on Ryan.
"I wasn't done talking, you!" Ryan saw that the call had been cut off, and a spark of anger flared up inside him.
Grace not only ignored his calls but also abruptly hung up on him. He had initially planned to have a friendly chat with Grace for a bit longer.
However, Ryan didn't know when he started to notice that Grace's voice seemed much more pleasant, making his heart itch.
"Grace, what's wrong? Who were you on the phone with?" Angela saw the expression on Grace's face.
Ryan, who knows what kind of craziness he's getting into again? In Grace's view, Ryan was always acting crazy.
"Why isn't Ryan with Kelly, and why is he calling you?"
"I don't know. Let's go, let's get something to eat. Since we're in Oakworth, we should enjoy all the delicious food here!" Grace pulled Angela, intending to try as many local delicacies as possible before heading back.
Stephanie also learned that Xavier had returned to Oakworth, and she immediately went to DG Group.
If Xavier were back, he would definitely go to the company.
Stephanie, being the eldest daughter of the Park family, couldn't be stopped by the security guard, who looked troubled as he entered Xavier's office.
Xavier glanced up, rubbed his temples, and dismissed the guard.
"Xavier, why didn't you tell me you were coming back? How long will you stay this time? Are you not going back to Skigeth?" Stephanie's eyes were full of Xavier.
"I'm leaving tomorrow," Xavier said indifferently.
"Why are you in such a hurry to go back to that backwater place? What's so good about it? Can't you stay in Oakworth a bit longer?" Stephanie was dissatisfied.
Xavier's cold eyes looked at her, and Stephanie had to shut her mouth.
After a while, she spoke again, "You promised to have a meal with me before I left, but it didn't happen because of those people. Today, no matter what, you must have a meal with me."
"I'm busy," Xavier said coldly.
Stephanie said, "I'm not asking you to go out to eat. Joseph knows you're back and wants you to come to the Park family for a meal. I'll have him call you!"
Sure enough, Joseph's call soon came to Xavier's phone.
Xavier always respected Joseph, so the meal was unavoidable. He went to the Park family and had a simple meal.
Joseph was elderly, and his son had passed away in an accident, leaving only Stephanie, whom he doted on like a treasure.
Joseph, being old, couldn't let go of Stephanie.
Stephanie had been spoiled since childhood, becoming willful and unreasonable. Without protection, what would she do in the future?
Clearly, Xavier was the best candidate.
Joseph could also see that Xavier had no feelings for Stephanie, but Stephanie was determined to have him.
Joseph also chatted with Xavier about some recent business matters. Xavier said he was busy and didn't stay long before taking his leave.
"Joseph!" Stephanie tugged at Joseph, constantly giving him meaningful looks.
Seeing this, Joseph said to Xavier, "Xavier, if you're not busy, could you accompany me for a walk, maybe take a walk?"
Xavier paused for a moment. "Sure."
"Grandpa, let's go to the mall. You said you haven't been out for fun in a long time," Stephanie suggested.
Joseph smiled. "Alright." Then he looked at Xavier, "Xavier, you don't mind, do you?"
Xavier's brow twitched. "I don't mind."
Oakworth was vast, and even more beautiful at night. The neon lights flickered, illuminating this city that never sleeps.
The pace of the city was fast, and even at this late hour, many people were still busy working or finally coming out to relax.
The mall was brightly lit and crowded. Stephanie was very happy to see Xavier. She walked ahead while Xavier and Joseph followed behind.
"Xavier," Joseph said.
"Mr. Park."
"I'm getting old, and my granddaughter will need your help in the future. She's been spoiled by me and will need your care. Please help her as much as you can, for my sake. Consider it a favor I'm asking of you."
Xavier remembered the kindness of the Park family and said, "If she ever needs my help, she can ask."
Joseph knew that Stephanie couldn't hold someone like Xavier.
The mall was large, and Stephanie wandered into a jewelry store.
"Grandpa, Xavier, what are you talking about? Come over here!" Stephanie waved at them, urging them to come over.
It was a top-tier luxury jewelry store, with rows of expensive jewelry that were clearly very costly. Diamonds sparkled under the lights, and most girls couldn't take their eyes off them. No one could resist the allure of jewelry.
"Xavier, you stay with Stephanie. I'm going to the restroom."
"Okay. We'll just browse around," Stephanie said, holding onto Xavier's arm and leading him into the jewelry store.
Grace and Angela had eaten a lot and were feeling particularly full. They decided to walk around to digest before heading back. Coming down from the mall, they were carrying quite a few purchases.
Shopping was indeed joyful, and both Grace and Angela were very happy. Grace had bought gifts for everyone at the studio, so she was carrying a lot.
Angela said, "I've seen this mall online so many times, and today, I finally got to visit. It's really crowded."
"Yeah, should we head back to the hotel now?"Grace advised.
"I'm almost too tired to walk. Luckily, our flight is tomorrow night. We can sleep until noon and then have a meal in the afternoon!"
Angela had already planned out their day for tomorrow. They came down from the second floor together.
Angela said, "I remember there's a jewelry store here that's very famous and different from other jewelry stores. Let's go check it out?"
"Okay," Grace agreed.
"I remember the way; it should be this way."
Angela turned around, looking for the location.
"There it is!" Angela pointed to the sign.
Grace looked in that direction and stopped. Angela was about to go over when Grace pulled her back and said, "Angela, don't go."
Angela was puzzled for a moment. She looked over and saw Xavier's tall figure in the jewelry store.
"Isn't that Xavier? And his rumored girlfriend we saw last time!"Angela said.
Xavier had his back to her, so Grace only saw his back.
Stephanie, on the other hand, was smiling happily. She picked up a necklace, compared it to her neck, and then asked Xavier, "Does it look good?"
