Chapter 72 Another Enemy Add

It took work to disperse fans. Even though Samuel had left, his influence remained.
After several hours, the number of fans gradually decreased, and the mall became less crowded. Only then did Victor and the others finally have a chance to go out. Before leaving, Jessica approached Grace and said, "Grace, even though we didn't know each other before, I genuinely want to be friends with you."
"Thank you for your kind offer, Ms. Cole. " Grace didn't believe that Jessica genuinely wanted to be friends with her. She likely had ulterior motives.
"You know the status of our family in Skigeth. As long as I help promote your store, you won't lack business." Jessica offered friendly signals, but Grace understood that there were no free lunches in this world.
"Thank you, Ms. Cole, but I prefer to rely on my own hard work for my business. If people only buy my products because of your promotion and not because they actually like them, it would be a waste of your efforts," Grace firmly declined. Jessica's expression turned cold.
"So, you're saying you don't want to be friends with me?"
"I didn't mean that. It's just that I have few friends, and it would genuinely be a disadvantage for Ms. Cole to be friends with me," Grace replied.
Jessica's eyes were no longer friendly. "Grace, I won't beat around the bush. I like Xavier, and you will soon be a part of the Montgomery family, so we might even be a family in time."
"I want to ask Xavier out. I can agree with any of your conditions if you help me."
Jessica's temperament was always straightforward, and she was actually quite arrogant. She used to think that no man in the world was worthy of her until the day she saw Xavier.
She had never taken the initiative before, and this was the first time. Although she was rejected, Jessica didn't want to give up.
"Ms. Cole, I'm afraid I can't help with that. If Ms. Cole wants to ask him out, shouldn't you talk to him yourself?"
If Jessica could have asked Xavier out, she wouldn't have been here today.
"Grace, helping me will only bring you more benefits. I am your friend now, and you can invite me as a guest when you visit the Montgomery family next time." Jessica thought things through carefully.
This way, she could go as Grace's friend and have dinner with Xavier.
However, Grace shattered her illusion directly.
"Sorry, Xavier doesn't live with the Montgomery family and doesn't eat with them. If Ms. Cole really likes him, please pursue him yourself. I have other things to attend to, so I won't accompany Ms. Cole."
Observing Grace's retreating figure, Jessica pondered, "Is Grace truly oblivious to propriety?"
Helping herself make arrangements with Xavier was a simple task for Grace. She had been standing here for hours today!
Since Grace had gone this far, Jessica naturally wouldn't settle for less.
Since Grace was so ungrateful, then she shouldn't blame anyone else. Jessica would inform the influential ladies of Skigeth, advising them against purchasing any of Grace's wares!
While Grace was busy over there, Angela walked over quietly. "What did Jessica say to you just now?"
"Nothing seriously, just asking me to arrange a meeting with Xavier for her."
Angela widened her eyes. "Did you agree?"
"What a joke. If I could make arrangements with Xavier, why wouldn't I do it for myself?"
"Well, that's true. She's just being delusional, thinking she's some unparalleled beauty and that any man should like her. But you have to be careful. She may seek revenge on you."
Angela also couldn't stand Jessica's way of doing things. After all, Jessica was friends with Edith, and Edith was her least favorite person.
"Seek revenge on me? But I haven't done anything." Grace thought it was highly unlikely.
"Believe me, anyone who is friends with Edith is not a good person."
"Of course, I believe you. I'll be careful."
One must not have malicious intentions, but one must not be without caution.
Thanks to Samuel's influence, Grace never expected to have such a good result on the first day of opening.
In just two hours, all the products were sold out.
The official website had too many visitors, causing the server to crash. They were all waiting for Grace to restock.
Grace was also out of stock here, and the factory was rushing to produce more. Grace prioritized quality over speed and had to ensure that every bottle of perfume leaving Iris was up to standard.
It wasn't even noon yet, and Grace could have closed the store, but on the first day of opening, even if she didn't have any products, she needed to stay for that long.
In the afternoon, many people came to visit Grace's store. Iris's brand was now well-known.
It was currently the flagship store, and the other few branches were also out of stock.
It seemed like since Samuel arrived, the cheerful Leroy had become quieter and often lost in thought, as if thinking about something.
Maybe Leroy felt a difference in his heart after seeing Samuel.
Or maybe Leroy had his own story.
Grace walked over and asked, "Why are you so down by yourself?"
Leroy forced a smile and said, "No, I'm actually quite happy. Congratulations, Ms. Lewis."
"I must express my gratitude to you today. You helped me a lot."
"I haven't done much at all; all credit should go to Samuel."
Just a simple greeting from Samuel had such a big impact. Leroy probably wouldn't be able to surpass Samuel in this lifetime.
Grace shook her head and said, "Everyone played a part. He just had the biggest role. He must have put a lot of effort into reaching this point, and he deserves it."
"And I believe that one day, you will also shine in your own field, and your influence won't be any smaller than his!"
After hearing this, Leroy chuckled lightly. "Thank you, Grace."
"There's no need for thanks. Consider this your reward. Go back and rest early." Grace produced an envelope containing money.
"Thank you," said Leroy.
Leroy left at noon, leaving only Grace and Angela in the store.
In the afternoon, Grace quickly calculated the sales volume, leaving Angela stunned.
"Grace, this is amazing!" Angela couldn't help but exclaim.
Grace knew very well that this wasn't solely her accomplishment. She still had to take credit for the product and how customers used it.
"Let's go out for a big dinner tonight to celebrate!" Grace was also very happy.
"Okay, I want steak!"
"No problem."
"Two servings!"
"That's also not a problem."
When it was closing time, Grace didn't bother locking the door. There was nothing valuable in the store anymore, so she wasn't afraid of it being vandalized.
Not far away, a pair of malicious eyes were watching in the direction Grace left.
