Chapter 128 He's My Uncle, Remarried with Two Kids

Xavier didn't say anything. He just finished his drink and stood up. "You promised Victor you'd take me home."

Barely two minutes after Grace sat down, she was puzzled to see Xavier already leaving.
Wasn't it Victor who asked her to come over, saying he would explain things to her in person? Why did it feel more like she was here to explain things to Xavier in person?

As Xavier walked out, Grace followed him. Side by side, they walked downstairs, and at that moment, Jessica, emerging from a private room, caught sight of them.

Heartbroken upon learning that Xavier had a girlfriend, Jessica had called a few friends for drinks. Feeling uneasy, she stepped outside for fresh air, only to witness Grace and Xavier together.
She thought, 'Why were they together?'

Filled with deep jealousy, Jessica wanted to rush over, pull Grace away, and position herself next to Xavier. She took out her phone and snapped a picture of the scene before following them outside, observing as Xavier and Grace got into the same car.
Could it be that Grace was taking advantage of Xavier being drunk to do something to him?

Jessica thought, 'All along, Xavier is actually Grace's target. Deliberately causing trouble for Jessica, Grace prevents her from dating Xavier and withholds his contact information. This suggests that Grace might have her own agenda. Leveraging her status as Ryan's fiancée, she has more chances to interact with Xavier than others and starts to seduce him. Grace seizes every opportunity to flaunt herself in front of Xavier.'

Jessica sent the photos she had taken to Ryan along with message: [Is this your fiancée? Why is she meeting Xavier so late at night?]

Ryan had already been lying in bed. Seeing the photos Jessica sent, his eyes narrowed.
Grace and Xavier, what were they doing!
Still eating chips and watching TV, Wendy saw Ryan quickly getting out of bed and rushing downstairs. "Ryan, it's so late, where are you going?" she asked.

Ryan didn't even leave a shadow behind. Wendy, munching on her chips, said, "What's going on? It's like he's going to cause trouble."

Ryan called Grace several times, but she didn't answer. He didn't dare to call Xavier either.
Just from the photos, Ryan wondered where Grace was going with Xavier. Were they back to the Bameran villa, to Grace's place, or to a hotel?

After thinking for a moment, Ryan decided to go to the Bameran villa first.

Getting into the car, Grace and Xavier settled inside, with Xavier taking the passenger seat. Despite his usual reluctance to let women drive him, Xavier had been drinking on this occasion. Once in the car, he leaned back in the seat and closed his eyes.

"Xavier, seat-belt," Grace reminded him.
But Xavier didn't move, as if he had fallen asleep.
Grace remembered Victor saying that Xavier had drunk quite a bit. Could he be feeling unwell from drinking too much?

With no other option, Grace leaned over to pull Xavier's seat belt. After a brief moment of fumbling, she had to get even closer, practically pressed up against Xavier in the process.

The faint, elegant fragrance exploded in Xavier's mind, as he opened his eyes.
But it was only for a second. Grace had found the seat-belt, immediately sat back, and buckled Xavier in.

Seeing Xavier open his eyes, Grace explained, "I called you, but you didn't respond. I helped you with the seat-belt. Are we heading back to the Bameran villa?"

Xavier reached out and rubbed his temples, covering his face.
He softly asked, "Have you had dinner?"
"Not yet, I'll just make something quick when I get back."
"Then let's go to your place."
"Why my place?" Grace was puzzled.
"To mooch a meal."
Grace fell silent.

It was the first time she had heard someone express a direct desire to mooch a meal. However, having one more person to eat with wasn't a big deal; she had to cook anyway.

When they got downstairs, Grace went to buy some groceries.
"What do you want to eat?" Grace asked as she got out of the car.
"Anything's fine." Xavier also got out and followed her.
"You don't need to come; I can go by myself," Grace said.

Despite that, Xavier still followed her, and Grace refrained from saying anything more. It didn't matter; he could see for himself what he wanted to eat.
An elderly man recognized Grace and greeted her, "Grace, it's been a while since you bought vegetables from me."
Grace replied, "I've been busy lately and haven't had much time to cook."

"You young people work so hard, but you need to take care of your health. Is this your boyfriend? He's even more handsome than a movie star." the elderly man said, looking at Xavier behind Grace.
"No, you're mistaken." Grace quickly explained, worried Xavier might be upset. "This is my uncle, he's just visiting me."

The elderly man seemed clicked, uttering, "Your uncle is really handsome. Does he have a girlfriend? I have a granddaughter about your age."
"No, my uncle is remarried with two kids, not a match for your granddaughter."

After saying that, Grace noticed Xavier's expression wasn't right and quickly said to the elderly man, "Can you tell me how much it is?"
After paying, Grace hurriedly pulled Xavier away.

Once they left, Xavier started to question her. "Uncle? Remarried with two kids?"
Grace said, "I told you not to come with me. If I didn't say that, she would keep thinking about you. It was just a temporary tactic."
Xavier sneered.

"Let's go." Grace pulled Xavier upstairs.
"Just make yourself comfortable; I'll go cook." Grace took the groceries into the kitchen.

It wasn't Xavier's first time at Grace's place, but the last time he was here, he was drunk. This time, he took a proper look around.
The house wasn't big, but Grace had kept it clean and tidy. The warm color scheme made it feel very homey, completely different from the cold atmosphere of the Bameran villa.

Looking at Grace in the kitchen, who had casually tied up her hair and put on an apron, he noticed how the apron strings tied around her waist highlighted her beautiful figure.

Ryan had been waiting at the Bameran villa for a long time, but Xavier hadn't returned. They must have gone to Grace's place instead of the villa.
Ryan immediately drove to Grace's apartment complex.

No matter what, Ryan had to catch them today!
Ryan knew Grace's address but had never been there. Following the address, he arrived and started banging on the door.
"Grace, open the door!"
"Don't pretend you're not home; I know you're in there!"
"If you're so good at seducing men, then open the door. Open the door, open it now!"

The noise was so loud that Grace heard it from the kitchen.
Whoever it was, it wasn't the right time to open the door. Grace was about to remind Xavier not to open it, but Xavier had already opened the door.
