Chapter 560 Go to the Coleman Family to Cause Trouble

"Don't think you can hide in there forever! I know you'll come out eventually. How long do you think you can stay in there?"

"And don't even think about having security throw me out or calling the cops. I'm not afraid to make a scene. Let everyone see what kind of ungrateful daughter I raised. Now, as her mother, I can't even see my own daughter!"

Ainsley's voice was loud and shrill, nothing like a refined lady, more like a shrew.

Angela opened the door. "Go ahead, shout louder. Let everyone see what kind of mother you are."

Though Angela opened the door, she didn't let Ainsley in. She stood there, blocking the entrance. "What do you want?"

"Nothing much. I just came to see you and brought you breakfast. It's still hot, so eat it while it's warm."

"And Angela, you haven't come home for dinner in a long time. How about tonight? Come home for dinner. I'll ask Omari to come too. Bring your husband. We haven't had a proper family dinner in ages."

Ainsley changed her tone in front of Angela.

She even invited Scott to dinner, and Angela knew what Ainsley was up to.

"You found out, didn't you?"

Ainsley feigned ignorance. "Found out what?"

"Don't pretend. You're terrible at acting. It's all over the internet. Even Edith knows. I don't believe you don't know."

Angela continued, "I won't come home for dinner, and neither will Scott. Give it up!"

With that, Angela shut the door and prepared to go to work.

As she walked away, Ainsley followed. "I just asked you to come home for dinner. What's with the attitude?"

"Angela, are you listening to me? This is all your fault. Who told you to lie to me?"

If Angela hadn't said Scott was poor and jobless, Ainsley wouldn't have looked down on him.

From the moment she saw Scott, she thought he was handsome and felt a connection.

"Did Scott buy you this house? He doesn't respect you at all. No meeting with the parents, no wedding gifts, no ceremony. You just married him like that? Are you stupid? How much of his family's wealth will you get?"

"Can you shut up? I don't want to hear you talk. Can't you see that?" Angela was exasperated.

She waited for the elevator, and Ainsley waited too, clearly intending to pester her. Angela was annoyed.

She took the stairs, running down two flights before taking the elevator.

Ainsley was furious. She pointed at Angela's retreating figure and complained to her driver, "Look at this ungrateful child. I'm doing this for her good."

"I want her to get what she deserves. We've raised her for so many years. She should give something back."

"Just giving her away to that man is a steal for him."

"No, I can't let this go. We're going to the Coleman Villa. I found out where the Coleman family lives in Skigeth."

When Ainsley arrived at the Coleman family home, Kieran answered the door.

"Who are you?" Kieran asked, puzzled by the unfamiliar woman.

Ainsley plastered a smile on her face. "Hello, this is the Coleman Villa, right? I'm Angela's biological mother. I wanted to visit."

Ainsley had found out that Chase was in Skigeth.

Kieran went to inform Chase, and Ainsley was let in.

She marveled at the mansion. No wonder they were wealthy. This villa used to belong to someone else and didn't look like this. It had been renovated beautifully.

She thought the Turner family was rich in Skigeth, but compared to the Colemans, they were nothing.

Ainsley followed inside to the reception area. Soon, Chase arrived.

"Hello, I heard you're Angela's mother?"

"Yes, Angela is my daughter." Ainsley smiled. "I brought some gifts. I hope you don't mind."

"We're family. No need for formalities." Chase didn't know the details of Angela's relationship with the Turner family. Since she was Angela's mother, they were family.

After some small talk, Ainsley revealed her true intentions. "We know about Angela and Scott. We just didn't expect the Coleman family to not acknowledge it. Raising a daughter isn't easy, you know."

"Of course, I understand." Chase was accommodating.

"Since that's the case, our demands aren't high. A wedding gift is essential. You can transfer it to me. My daughter is precious. She married Scott because she loves him. They married in secret and only told me afterward. I don't know if your family tricked her."

Chase could tell Ainsley was after money.

Ainsley continued, "The Turner family can't compare to the Colemans. You're a prestigious family. I'm sure you won't skimp on these formalities."

"Of course. How much are you asking for the wedding gift?"

Ainsley didn't hesitate. "Three hundred million dollars."

That was a significant sum, possibly the Turner family's net profit for a year or two.

If it weren't the Coleman family, Ainsley wouldn't be so greedy. Knowing they were wealthy, she asked for more.

Chase didn't think it was too much. If the money was for his granddaughter-in-law, he was willing to give it.

He was about to agree when a voice came from the door. "No problem. I'll make sure the wedding gift is covered."

Scott had previously transferred fifty million dollars to Angela. Since the Turner family wanted three hundred million, he would give more.

"I'll have the transfer made."

Scott didn't hesitate.

But the money wasn't transferred to the Turner family. It went to Angela.

Scott transferred another three hundred million dollars to Angela. Ainsley waited, even checked the bank account, but saw no increase.

Ainsley shamelessly asked, "Hasn't the transfer been made? Why haven't I received it?"

Scott replied, "It's been transferred to Angela's account."

"What? It's supposed to be a wedding gift for me!" Ainsley was furious that the money went to Angela.

"You know how you treated Angela. The Coleman family is wealthy, but we're not fools. If it's for Angela, there's no issue. But if the Turner family wants it, sorry, you can ask Angela. If she wants to give it to you, that's her choice."
