Chapter 77 Xavier: I am her Father

Xavier held Grace protectively, shielding her with his body.
"Do you need something?" Xavier's cold voice clearly indicated that he wanted them to leave.
"Well, since you are busy, Ryan and I will come back another time. We won't disturb you for now."
Patrick did come with Ryan to apologize and to discuss the possibility of getting Xavier to invest.
Unfortunately, it seemed like they always came at the wrong time and would run into Xavier with another woman.
Patrick left with Ryan, who had a displeased look on his face. Once they were back in the car, Ryan finally dared to speak up, "Dad, this was all for nothing!"
"How can you say that? Didn't you see Xavier with that woman?"
"Yes, I saw."
Ryan wasn't blind, but what did that really mean?
"I told you last time that Xavier brought a woman back, but we couldn't find any information on her. Did you not just see her? She was still wearing a school uniform. Look it up and find out who that woman is!"
To be able to be Xavier's bed companion, she must have something special about her.
If he could find that woman, maybe she could help convince Xavier by speaking positively about them.
Last time, he had arranged for someone to follow Xavier, but the Montgomery family's driver easily disengaged them.
This time, he was determined to uncover the truth!
"Dad, why don't you say anything about him and his fancy ways?"
"Who knows? Maybe it's not even the same woman as last time. Or maybe he's been bringing women home every day. I can't even get Kelly to be your companion!"
"Can you really compare yourself to Xavier? If you had his abilities, I wouldn't care how many women you brought home."
"Dad, where did you keep Kelly? Can you please let her out?"
Without Kelly around these days, Ryan didn't feel good.
He was in his prime, and that aspect was his strong point.
Although Kelly being locked up didn't have a great impact on Ryan, his friends still called him out for drinks and introduced a bunch of women to him.
But those women always seemed to lack something, not understanding what he truly needed. They were either too uptight or too promiscuous. He couldn't fully enjoy himself with them.
In comparison, Kelly was still the better option.
"It's impossible! After you marry Grace, I might consider letting her out. But until then, don't expect to see her!"
He really didn't know what obsession Kelly had induced in Ryan. If it weren't for her interference, Grace would have already become a part of the Montgomery family.
Maybe he even got that thing already.
Now, with Grace still not getting married, Patrick was starting to feel anxious.
"Grace and I won't be happy. Can you bear to watch me suffer for the rest of my life, Dad?"
However, Patrick's stiff expression did not waver in the slightest. "There will be a vacation resort opening on the east side soon. In a few days, you take Grace to play there and build some relationships. I will talk to the Lewis family and let you two get married directly."
"Dad!"
No matter what Ryan said, Patrick was determined.
He didn't want to go to any vacation resort, especially with Grace!
The presence of Patrick and Ryan did not affect Xavier.
Xavier carried Grace back to the room and placed her on the bed.
She seemed to be asleep, with her eyes tightly closed.
Probably because she had too much to drink, Grace's cheeks were rosy, like a ripe peach.
Her body was permeated with a strong smell of alcohol, but Xavier just frowned slightly and didn't mind.
He just wondered what Grace would look like when she woke up tomorrow and faced him with this face.
She had no sense of caution at all. Didn't she know how dangerous the outside world could be?
Although most of the people going to the bar were students from Skigeth University, and many girls were wearing school uniforms.
But Grace's face was too eye-catching.
Xavier's breathing paused as he looked at this beautiful face, a face that was difficult to forget at first sight. No wonder Ryan couldn't let go of her.
If this were ancient times, even emperors would be enchanted by her.
In addition to her stunning face, her legs under the short skirt were fair and straight, with smooth and delicate skin. The slender leg lines were graceful. This kind of Grace was simply the epitome of purity.
But beauty was not a sin, and wearing a skirt was not a sin.
This kind of Grace suddenly sparked a possessiveness in Xavier's heart.
He wanted to hide her away, not letting anyone see her like this, and only he could cruelly bully her, pinching her chin, causing her face to cry in sorrow...
Just then, Grace's phone rang, interrupting all of Xavier's thoughts.
He was annoyed at himself for having such twisted ideas. Grace's appearance might be deliberate, and Evelyn was one of the culprits who killed his mother. He absolutely couldn't let himself be deceived by Grace in this state!
After composing his thoughts, Xavier picked up his phone and noticed the incoming call from the driver.
It seemed that this was the driver Grace called. He answered the call directly, and a voice said, "Ms. Lewis, where are you? I've been looking for you here for half a day and haven't seen a trace of you."
He had a few other things to do today, so he was a little late coming here. He sent a message to Grace, but she did not reply.
Now he was at the agreed location, but the driver had searched several rounds and didn't see anyone.
Xavier gently pressed his thin lips together and said, "It's not necessary. She's already home."
"Now that she's home, who are you?"
Xavier glanced at the sleeping woman and intended to say that he was her uncle but ended up using a different term.
"Her father."
"Oh, I see. As long as Ms. Lewis is home," the person on the phone said.
Xavier hung up the phone and remembered the call that Grace had made to him earlier. He used the screen in front of Grace and scanned it with face recognition, immediately unlocking it.
Xavier wasn't interested in Grace's phone contents, but he opened the call history and saw the note she had left for him.
Seeing this note, Xavier didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
However, this was definitely a unique note; Grace was the only one who would dare use it.
After deleting the call history with Grace, Xavier placed the phone back beside her.
He called for a butler. "Take care of her."
"Sir, should we change her clothes?" the butler asked.
"No need."
Xavier left the guest room and returned to his room. He took a shower, washing away any trace of Grace's scent.
Two hours later, he emerged from the bathroom and returned to his study to continue working on unfinished tasks.
