Chapter 156 It Must Be Intentional to Attract His Attention

Angela, exerting some effort to prop herself up, caught a sound.

She quickly stood up, her face flushed. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

She looked up, curious to behold the innocent victim she had implicated. He was young and handsome, yet his countenance bore a somber expression.

"Were you doing that on purpose?" Scott was very angry.

"I wasn't."

Angela was about to explain and apologize properly, but Scott didn't want to listen and interrupted her directly.

"What, do women like you enjoy pretending to trip on flat ground? And you like falling into my arms?" Scott's eyes were full of disgust. He hated this kind of woman the most.

Having recently returned to the country, he encountered a number of women trying to capture his attention. Especially those waitresses who spilled coffee. They always managed to spill it on him.

Angela was, without a doubt, the boldest one Scott had ever seen, daring to touch him in that place!

Angela was speechless.

She didn't even want to apologize anymore. Although Scott was handsome, he was way too narcissistic.

"Are you misunderstanding something? I really didn't do it on purpose. Someone deliberately tripped me just now," Angela explained.

"Deliberately tripped you?" Scott sneered. "Then why didn't you fall somewhere else? Why did you have to fall in front of me? And your hand, where exactly did it touch just now?"

Angela was at a loss for words. 'How am I supposed to know I would be tripped here, and I certainly didn't do it on purpose.'

"I didn't touch anything just now, so don't worry about it," Angela said.

As soon as she said this, Scott's face darkened even more. 'What did she mean by saying she didn't touch anything?'

Her hand was clearly on that place, a place that was sensitive and fragile. And he was very confident in himself.

'Such a large area, she claimed she hadn't touched anything? Did she perceive him as insignificant?' Scott asked inwardly.

Angela saw Scott's expression. What was wrong with him?

"Sir, we are in the public area. Are you sure you want to talk about this loudly? I really accidentally touched you. If you don't believe me, you can check the surveillance."

There was no way Scott would check the surveillance for something like this.

Their voices were probably too loud, attracting the attention of people nearby. A deep voice came over, "Scott, what's going on?"

"Steven! This woman deliberately fell on me, "Scott claimed.

Angela looked over. The man was steady and even more handsome!

She explained, "I didn't. I was accidentally tripped by someone and then bumped into him. I already apologized, but he insists I did it on purpose."

Angela glanced back, wondering who exactly tripped her just now. The woman had her back to Angela, and her figure looked somewhat familiar.

"Scott is my brother; he has always been like that. Don't take it seriously. I don't think this young lady did it on purpose," Steven said.

"At least this gentleman is reasonable." Angela smiled at him, then took out a business card and handed it to Scott.

"This is my business card. It has my contact information. If you really have any issues because of what happened, I'll cover the medical expenses."

With that, Angela walked back to her seat.

Scott looked at the business card in disbelief.

'Angela? Fine, I remembered you!'

"Did you see that? To get my attention, she gave me a business card with her name and contact information. Isn't that intentional?"

Scott crumpled the business card tightly in his hand. "She just wants me to contact her. Dream on!"

Steven said calmly, "You might be overthinking it. I've told you before, stop being so narcissistic. Not all girls are like you think."

"I think that's exactly it!" Scott was furious.

"We've been in Oakworth for so long without any news of Aunt. Are you sure her last known whereabouts were really in Oakworth? Could she have gone to another city and changed her identity? And Aunt's daughter, we've almost turned Oakworth upside down and haven't found a girl who looks like Aunt."

"We will find them," Steven said, his gaze deepening.

Angela returned to her seat, determined to find out who had stuck out a foot just now, whether it was accidental or intentional.

So Angela kept looking in that direction. Scott noticed her gaze and sneered.

"Steven, look, she's staring at me again."

"Who?" Steven asked.

"That Angela from earlier. She's been looking this way. I told you she has ulterior motives. Women like her are the most scheming."

Scott continued, "It's because we're too outstanding and handsome. Tonight, many women have come to flirt with us. That Madison Lewis, sitting two seats away, said she came with her grandfather. She's just trying to seduce us. These girls all have impure motives; they're all after me. Look, Angela is still looking at me. Steven, you have to protect me."

Steven was speechless.

Angela watched for a long time, and the instigator finally turned her head. It was Madison!

Angela clenched her fists. That damned Madison! If it weren't for her foot, she wouldn't have bumped into Scott.

Angela should have stepped back on her foot. If Madison liked to stick out her leg, she should have just broken it.

'But why is Madison here?'Angela wondered.

With the Lewis family's limited influence, they might have been something in Skigeth, but they were nothing in Oakworth.

Even if there were several Lewis families, it wouldn't be enough to get Madison into this fashion show.

Next to Madison, Daniel was talking to her, looking very intimate.

Angela was curious about this old man.

She was always one to seek revenge; she wouldn't let it slide since Madison had done this on purpose.

She was about to go over and confront her when the show started, so she had to wait for another opportunity.

As Angela sat down, she saw the organizers ushering Xavier in.

Xavier, nearly 6.2 feet tall, exuded a powerful presence. He walked nonchalantly to the other side, yet still managed to capture everyone's gaze.

The organizers of this show were already quite influential, but in the presence of Xavier, they couldn't help but wear smiles and show deference.

There weren't many people in the world with such power.

Angela was surprised. 'Why is Xavier here? Isn't he always in Skigeth? When does he come to Oakworth? Does Grace know about this?' A series of questions popped into her.

Angela quickly sent a message to Grace: [Grace, guess who I just saw?]

She picked up her phone and secretly took a photo, sending it to Grace.

However, the fashion show had already started, and Grace had put her phone in a drawer as she prepared to go on stage, naturally missing Angela's message.

Not far away, Scott saw Angela taking pictures and sneered inwardly, full of mockery.'This Angela was now secretly photographing other men. Just a moment ago, she had fallen in front of him. She was definitely trying to attract his attention!'
