Chapter 490 Scott's Girlfriend

Angela met three blind dates in the morning.

Everyone was there with the intention of marriage, so they were all very realistic.

The first man asked Angela how much savings she had and how many children she wanted after marriage. Angela wasn't looking to have children, so it wasn't a match.

The second man also wanted children and even wanted Angela to take care of his entire family, especially his bedridden mother, after marriage.

The third man was slightly more normal but was a gambler who wanted Angela to help him pay off a million-dollar debt first.

Angela was overwhelmed and had to call the matchmaker, "I just want to get married without all these messy post-marriage issues. What kind of people are you introducing to me?"

The matchmaker said, "You were in such a hurry. I've arranged so many for you, and you're still not satisfied?"

Angela was silent.

Why is it so hard to find a match? Can she grab someone off the street to marry?

In the afternoon and evening, Angela met the remaining ten people, but none were suitable.

She called Grace to complain, and Grace, sensing her frustration, said, "Why don't you come over, and we can talk in person."

"Sure, where are you?"

"At home."

"Okay, I'll come over now. I'll buy some drinks!"

Angela hung up and headed to Grace's place.

Grace saw Scott over there. Perfect, Scott was still here!

Angela arrived quickly. Grace opened the door, and Angela gave her a big hug, "Grace, it's so hard. Getting married is just too hard!"

Angela walked in and noticed someone else there, "Why is he here?"

"Scott came over to hang out."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier? If I had known, I wouldn't have come. Otherwise, this narcissist might think I came because he's here!"

"Scott doesn't think that."

"Forget it, let's have a drink!" Angela put the few cans of beer she bought on the table, all for herself.

"I'll drink, and you can have water. Just keep me company."

Grace nodded and kept Angela company.

"Angela, you have to be careful about marriage!"

When she was forced to marry by the Montgomery family, she never thought of using this method.

"Careful about what? If it's not suitable, get a divorce. Do you think I should find a pure-hearted man who lost his parents and lives with his grandmother, then pay for his grandmother's medical bills and marry him?"

"Do you think you're in a novel? Novels don't even have that plot anymore. Besides, where would you find such a suitable person?"

Angela was frustrated, "Then what should I do? If I don't get married soon, the Turner family will marry me off."

"Don't rush. Let me ask around if anyone else is looking for a marriage, like Xavier's friends."

Scott laughed, and Angela looked over, "What are you laughing at?"

Then she turned to Grace to complain, "Grace, he's laughing at me!"

Scott said, "I've never seen someone so eager to get married. No wonder you tried to latch onto me before and failed."

Angela stood up and walked toward Scott, "Even if I didn't get married, I wouldn't latch onto you. I don't like narcissists like you!"

"I never asked you to like me. I'm not the one being pressured to get married!"

Angela and Scott started arguing again, and Grace couldn't get a word in.

At that moment, Grace's doorbell rang. She thought it was Xavier and went to open the door, "I'll get it."

They were still arguing. Angela said, "Stop gloating."

Angela had actually drunk quite a bit. She had almost finished the beer she brought.

"Stay away from me, woman!"

"Why should I? This isn't your house."

Thinking of Scott's fear of women, Angela deliberately got closer. Her cheeks were flushed from drinking, her eyes were dreamy, and her long eyelashes fluttered.

Scott backed away, but Angela pounced on him, and Scott ended up lying on the couch.

Angela propped one hand on the couch and hooked Scott's chin with the other, "If I can't get married, I'll latch onto you. How about that?"

Their position was very suggestive, and at that moment, Grace opened the door.

She thought it was Xavier, but it turned out to be Chase.

"Grandpa!" Grace was surprised. Chase had come to Skigeth!

Chase was also happy, "My dear granddaughter, I've missed you so much."

"Why isn't Scott home? I just went there, and it was so empty. None of them have girlfriends. I don't know when I'll see their children."

"Grace, you have to talk to your brothers for me."

Chase was talking as he walked in, but he froze when he saw the scene in front of him.

Angela and Scott looked over simultaneously, and Angela quickly got off Scott.

"You... you..." Chase pointed at them, his hand shaking.

Angela sobered up from the shock. It was her first time meeting Grace's grandpa, "Hello, we were just joking. We didn't do anything!"

Chase's eyes lit up, "Scott, why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend? I wasn't prepared at all!"

Scott didn't expect Chase to come suddenly, "What do you need to prepare?"

"Of course, a gift for meeting your girlfriend. I came in a hurry, but let me see. Here's a bank card. Spend the money as you like!" Chase handed over a card.

Angela didn't dare take it, "You misunderstood. I'm not Scott's girlfriend. I'm Grace's good friend."

If Angela had known Chase was coming, she wouldn't have teased Scott. Now Chase misunderstood.

"Grace's friend? That's great. You must be wonderful. We're family now. You're so pretty. Scott has good taste!"

"Grandpa, you misunderstood. She's really not my girlfriend."

Scott tried to explain, but Chase didn't give him a chance.

"Shut up. I saw it with my own eyes. Do you think I'm blind? I understand you, young people. When I was young, we were the same. Your grandma and I only dared to hold hands secretly. We didn't dare to be open about it. I understand!"

Scott was silent.

Chase didn't understand at all!
