Chapter 479 Testing His Limits
"He is so arrogant and narcissistic, and he looks so ordinary. He's completely unremarkable. I wouldn't even give him a second glance in a crowd. How could he possibly think I like him?"
"I'm just using him to deal with the Turner family. He's just a doormat, and I have plenty of suitors. I'd have to be blind to be interested in him."
"Grace, you saw it too. He's so narcissistic. I've never seen anyone more narcissistic than him. I can't take it, I'm going to die laughing!"
Grace propped her chin and looked at Angela. She thought there might be something between Angela and Scott.
Sometimes fate works in mysterious ways. Some people start off disliking each other and end up as happy couples, eventually falling for each other.
"Angela, I didn't expect you to have so much to say about Scott."
"I'm not saying anything good about him, don't get the wrong idea."
"I didn't say I misunderstood, but Scott's behavior isn't confidence; he's gynophobic."
"What?" Angela found it amusing. Is a man afraid of women?
She thought Scott was just purely narcissistic, looking down on every woman, thinking they all approached him with ulterior motives.
"It seems that when he was a teenager, he was sexually harassed by women. You know the Coleman family's status. Many people tried to get close to the Coleman family by sending women, and those women deliberately flattered him. It seems to have left a shadow on Scott, and now he instinctively fears women approaching him, thinking they all have ulterior motives."
"No way, he experienced that before he was even fully developed?" Angela found it amusing. She could imagine the scene.
A group of voluptuous women surrounded a middle school boy.
It's unbearable to think about!
"So that's why he is the way he is now. It's not that he hates women; it's a form of self-protection. He thinks staying away from women gives him a sense of security."
"I thought he had a lot of sexual experience, but he seems so innocent."
It's evening now, and since they don't have to work later and are in a good mood, Angela decided to have a couple of drinks.
But Grace couldn't drink alcohol at the moment, so Angela drank alcohol while Grace drank juice.
"Cheers!"
After clinking glasses, they started drinking.
A warm drink made their bodies feel cozy, but Angela's alcohol tolerance was average, and she soon had enough.
Grace, with the intention of matchmaking, sent a message to Scott.
Scott quickly arrived and looked at Angela and Grace.
Scott was silent.
Angela was silent.
When they met, they had nothing to say, and Angela's phone call in the afternoon was a bit awkward.
"Grace, did you call me to take you home?"
"Of course not, I have someone to take me. You're responsible for taking my good friend home."
"I'm not taking her." Scott refused, "I can find someone to take her."
With so many drivers, it was easy for him to find someone.
However, Angela stood up and hooked her arm around Scott's shoulder, "I want him to take me!"
Afraid of women? Let's see how she teaches him a lesson!
When Angela leaned in, Scott's body stiffened, and he was visibly resistant. His eyes seemed to be pleading with Grace for help.
But Grace pretended not to see and said, "Scott, I'm entrusting Angela to you. Make sure you get her home safely."
Scott was silent.
The last time Grace said this, he inexplicably became Angela's fake boyfriend.
Tonight, he had a bad feeling again.
Grace also sent a message to Xavier, asking where he was.
Xavier said to message him after dinner, and he would come to pick her up.
What Grace didn't know was that Xavier had been nearby all along.
Xavier arrived quickly, surprising Grace, "You're so fast?"
"Let's go home." Xavier didn't even glance at anyone else.
"Xavier, let go of my hand. How dare you touch Grace."
Not only did Xavier touch Grace's hand, but he also held it, "Scott, see you next time."
"Let go of her hand, you..."
Angela hooked her arm around Scott, preventing him from chasing after them, "Why are you interfering with their relationship? Hurry, take me home."
Scott was silent.
Angela was not only crazy but also fierce!
"We're here." Scott parked the car. This time, he wasn't going up to avoid any accidents.
However, Angela seemed to have fallen asleep beside him, her head tilted. Scott called her twice, but she didn't respond.
He had no choice but to get out of the car, walk around to Angela's side, and look at her closed eyes.
Could she be pretending to be drunk, waiting for him to carry her up?
Was Angela doing this on purpose?
Scott waited for a while, but she showed no signs of waking up. He had no choice but to lean in and unbuckle her seatbelt.
Angela had indeed accidentally fallen asleep. She had been very busy lately, with her studio constantly expanding, leaving her with only a few hours of rest each day.
But when Scott leaned in, Angela felt something touch her neck, tickling her.
She opened her eyes and turned her head, only to find Scott so close. Her lips brushed against Scott's cheek.
They both froze, then simultaneously said, "You're trying to take advantage of me."
"I didn't mean to."
She really didn't mean to, but since Scott said that, Angela decided to take it further. She grabbed Scott's collar and pulled him close. They were less than a finger's length apart. If they got any closer, they would really kiss.
Scott's breath hitched, and he could only smell a strong scent of red wine mixed with an indescribable sweetness.
Angela didn't mind; she wasn't afraid of men.
Then she hooked her other hand under Scott's chin, "Alright, I do want to take advantage of you. What are you going to do about it?"
She smirked and teased him, "Besides, weren't you the one who leaned in first? I haven't even accused you of having ulterior motives."
"Me, having ulterior motives?" Scott could swear he had no such thoughts.
Angela found his reaction amusing. She used to think he was a narcissist, but now he seemed quite pitiful.
He had always thought she approached him to take advantage of him, to like him.
Today, Angela decided to be narcissistic too, using the same method to retaliate.
"Isn't that right? Otherwise, why did you lean in? According to you men, isn't that called seduction? Even if I did something to you, it would just be a mistake most men make. And since you threw yourself at me, wouldn't it be a waste if I didn't do something? After all, I'm not a gentleman."
"You!"
They were very close, and the car's dim light only allowed them to see each other's deep, glowing eyes.
Her hand was still holding his chin, even caressing it. Scott's skin was really smooth.
Scott looked at Angela, this unreasonable woman, who was testing his limits.
Sure enough, she was interested in him, revealing her true nature.
And Angela had just kissed him!
He felt unclean.
