Chapter 105 James Brought Rose Home
Jessica smirked and said, "Alright, I'll be waiting for the day you and Jack get married. The Evans family's future is on you."
She then walked home quickly, thanks to her sneakers.
Pearl, on the other hand, was struggling in her fancy high heels, which had given her blisters. Cursing Jessica, she flagged down a cab. When she got home, only Joan was there.
Looking smug, Pearl asked, "Where's Dad?"
Joan replied bitterly, "He wants a divorce. Since I didn't agree, he stopped coming home. It's all because of that witch, Jessica!"
Pearl scoffed, "Too bad. Dad always thought I wasn't as good as Jessica. I want him to see if I can be better than Jessica, who can't even have kids!"
Joan's eyes lit up, "Did things go well with the Kelly family today? Did they agree to marry you?"
Pearl grinned, "Mr. Gerald Kelly said Jack should marry me. The baby in my belly is his, so he can't back out!"
"Oh, Pearl, you make me so proud!" Joan beamed, thrilled at the thought of being Jack's mother-in-law.
She thought, 'I won't have to put up with any more humiliation here!'
When Jessica got home that evening, she saw Olivia looking nervous. Changing her shoes, Jessica asked, "What's wrong, Olivia?"
Olivia hesitated before saying, "Mr. Kelly brought a woman home."
Jessica's heart sank. A sharp pain radiated from deep in her heart.
He hadn't been home for half a month, and now this.
Her body trembled slightly as she asked, "Where are they?"
"In the master bedroom," Olivia stammered, avoiding eye contact with Jessica.
"Okay, I understand," Jessica said, controlling her emotions as she walked upstairs, each step feeling heavy.
She reached the master bedroom door and pushed it open without knocking.
James was in the shower, and Rose was lying on what used to be Jessica's bed.
The sight hurt Jessica deeply.
When Jessica walked in, Rose flashed a provocative smile and smirked, "Miss Evans, sorry, but my house had a water leak, so I wanted to stay here for a few days. You don't mind, do you?"
Jessica clenched her fists and said, "I do. I think you're too dirty, so either go to the guest room or get out of my house!"
