"Rose, don't bring up the past anymore."
James interrupted her coldly, saying, "We are no longer who we used to be. People always need to look forward."
Rose pretended not to understand, smiling as she said, "My future includes you. The future for me and the baby depends on you."
James felt extremely depressed.
Rose persistently asked, "Will this year's birthday be the same as previous ones? No matter how busy you are, make sure to free up some time for me on this day."
