The assistant hurried to catch up with him and said, "Lawyer Watson, there's another client coming in a bit."
"Reschedule it for me."
He left that sentence behind and immediately drove towards James's house.
On the way, he had someone look into recent matters concerning The Kelly Corporation.
Only then did he find out that after Gerald's death, The Kelly Corporation had been taken over by George and Jack, and the two had even taken James to court.
He could only speed up and head towards The Kelly Family.
Olivia knew Michael was James's friend and let him in directly.
She said, "Lawyer Watson, Mr. Kelly is in a bad mood. He's been in the study all day. You should go check on him!"
Michael nodded, his face serious, and said, "I'll go up and see him."

James was very surprised to see him, "Why are you here?"
Michael looked him over and said, "You don't look as bad as Olivia said! What? If I hadn't come today, you would have kept this from me? Not telling me about such a big issue?"
A trace of awkwardness crossed James's face, and he said, embarrassed, "Didn't I just acquire The Evans Corporation, hindering your grand revenge plan?"
"So, you think our relationship is over?" Michael said angrily, "So you're choosing a woman over a brother?"
James glanced at him and chuckled, "You lawyers are really good with words! I don't want to argue with you!"
Of course, Michael wouldn't really be angry or break off their friendship. He said angrily, "Tell me! What's going on? What are your brother and father planning to sue you for?"
James suddenly paused and said, "I almost forgot to ask you, how did you know something was wrong on my end?"
"Jessica came to see me."
Michael sighed and said, "I didn't want to see her, but she sent a message through the receptionist, and that's how I found out."
James was shocked and asked incredulously, "You mean, Jessica went to see you?"
Jessica had clearly said she was going to the hospital in the afternoon.
He hadn't expected her to secretly go see Michael.
Michael smiled knowingly and said, "At first, I thought you were too embarrassed to come to me yourself and sent her instead. But then I realized, you're not the type to push your wife forward when something happens. So she must have come to me without telling you!"
James suddenly became anxious. He glanced at his watch and said, "She's been out for over two hours. Since you didn't see her, why hasn't she come back yet?"
Michael said discontentedly, "She's an adult. Do you really need to worry so much? She won't get lost! Now tell me what your father and brother have done so I can come up with a solution for you."
Although Michael's words made sense, James's heart was still restless and unsettled.
He immediately took out his phone and called Jessica, but no one answered.
Michael got angry, grabbed the phone, and said, "I dropped everything and came all this way to help you! And all you can think about is John's daughter. What could possibly happen to her? You should be worrying about yourself!"
James calmly said, "The reason I didn't come to you this time is that I have my own plans. I have everything George and the others are doing under control. They can't do anything!"
"But now, even The Kelly Corporation is under their control. Aren't you worried at all?"
