Chapter 532 Don't Look for Me Again (2)

Rose had cried until she had no more tears left, but it still couldn't soften James's heart.

She hadn't expected that he had even planned her way out.

But no matter which path it was.

He had removed himself from her life completely; he didn't want to have anything to do with her.

"I'm leaving, take care."

Just like that, he left her home without a trace of hesitation or regret.

Rose immediately tried to chase after him, but her condition made it difficult, and she couldn't keep up with his pace.

Desperately, she shouted at the closed elevator doors, "James, James, come back!"

But unfortunately, the only response she got was the deafening silence of the air.

Rose trembled with hatred, gritting her teeth as she muttered, "Jessica, you bitch, whatever I have, you want to! You want to take everything from me! I will never forgive you!"

James returned to the villa, and the house was quiet.

Olivia heard the noise and came up to him, saying, "Mr. Kelly, have you had dinner? Should I make you a snack?"

"I'm not hungry."

James glanced in the direction of the upstairs and asked, "How was her appetite tonight?"

Olivia sighed, shook her head, and said, "Mrs. Kelly didn't eat much either."

James thought for a moment and instructed, "Then go ahead and make a snack. I'll eat with her."

Soon, Olivia prepared the snack, and James personally carried the tray to the bedroom.

Jessica looked at him nervously as he entered.

His promise from the evening still echoed in her ears, but she still couldn't believe he had truly decided to cut ties with Rose.

Sometimes, she felt she was being very cruel.

After all, Rose's baby was innocent. Should she let a child be born without a father?

Thinking of this, Jessica couldn't face James's gaze.

She got out of bed somewhat helplessly and said, "I'm going to freshen up."

After taking a few steps, James grabbed her hand.

"Olivia just told me you didn't eat much tonight. Eat this first."

James led her to the coffee table and coaxed patiently, "Otherwise, the baby in your belly will be born weak and thin. Can you bear that?"

Jessica's mind wasn't on eating. She couldn't help but ask, "Did you just come back from Rose's place?"

"Yes."

James looked deeply at her and said, "I think the only obstacle between us is Rose and that unborn child. Now, I've decided to let them go, to make them disappear from my life. So, are you still willing to accept me?"

At this moment, his deep eyes were filled with sincerity and hope.

Jessica asked in disbelief, "Did you do that?"

James sighed and said, "I know you don't believe me now, but it's okay. We'll take it slow. One day, you'll know I didn't lie to you. Jessica, I want to be with you. I only want to be responsible for you."

Every word he said was so clear, flowing into her ears and then into her heart, reviving her nearly dried-up and withered heart.

Jessica suddenly threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly, and asked, "In the future, will no one else disturb our lives? James, can you let her go?"

"Silly girl, I only want you."

James gently rubbed his chin against the top of her head and said with emotion, "People shouldn't be too greedy. Maybe I was too greedy before, and that's why I almost lost you."
