Chapter 291 He Couldn't Control His Feelings for Her

James' voice was seductive as he whispered in her ear, "Pain will make you remember!"

Tonight, he was like an enraged leopard, continuously venting his anger.

Despite the excruciating pain, Jessica remained silent, as if in defiance.

James began to feel bored.

He got off the bed, took a shower on his own, and slammed the door as he left in the middle of the night.

Jessica lay on the bed like a broken rag doll, all alone.

Her eyes seemed vacant, staring numbly at the ceiling as if trying to pierce through it.

After what felt like an eternity, she dragged her weary body to the bathroom.

The next day, the official website of the school posted a notice about Leo's inappropriate behavior, claiming it tarnished the school's reputation.

Leo was ordered to suspend his classes for reflection, with no clear indication of when he could return.

The notice didn't go into detail, but it left no room for argument.

Kylie shared the news with Jessica as if it were gossip.

Jessica immediately guessed who was behind it.

Jessica wasn't fond of Leo; in fact, she found him quite off-putting.

Yet, with James acting this way, she couldn't shake the feeling that it was her fault Leo was caught up in this.

She had to figure out a way to make James spare him.

At that moment, she suddenly recalled what James had said the previous night.

He wanted her to have his child again!

So, she asked Kylie, "Can you get me some birth control pills?"

She was too embarrassed to buy them herself.

Kylie looked at her in surprise. "What made you want to start taking these all of a sudden?"

Jessica paused, lowered her eyes, and said lightly, "I don't want to have his child."

Kylie, unaware of Jessica's inner turmoil, thought she had guessed correctly and nodded. "I told you, you can't forgive him so easily. At the very least, wait until the homewrecker's child is gone, and he's completely cut ties with her before you even consider having his baby."

Jessica went along with her, "Yeah, you're right."

However, she was fully aware that her time with James was running out. They didn't have a future together, let alone a child.

Jessica urged Kylie to quickly get the doctor to prescribe the pills.

Once she got them, she followed the instructions and took one immediately.

She couldn't imagine what she would do if she got pregnant with James' child.

In Kelly Corporation, Sean reported Ocean City University's feedback to James.

James said coldly, "Find a way to make sure that guy never shows up at the university again."

Sean was taken aback and silently wondered why James would bother with Leo, an ungraduated student.

Could it be that Leo had his eyes on Jessica?

Since James was in a particularly bad mood today, several senior executives who came to report their work had been scolded away.

Sean didn't dare to ask any more questions and hurriedly went out to handle the matter.

James looked at the stack of paperwork in front of him but felt completely drained.

He leaned back in his chair, feeling exhausted and irritable.

Even though Jessica had been unkind to him, he hadn't given up on helping her save John.

After all, he couldn't control his feelings for her and couldn't let go, even though she didn't love him.
