Chapter 115 The Pink Heart
Rose whispered, "Are you tired of me? If so, let me handle things on my own. I don't want to be a burden."
James gently stroked her back. "You're overthinking. I just want to help you get better and be happier."
Rose started to worry. If the expert was truly renowned, what if they see through her facade? How could she convincingly portray the symptoms of depression to deceive the expert?
Lost in thought, she heard James say, "By the way, the plumbing in your house is fixed, and the floors are replaced."
Rose's face fell. "Are you trying to kick me out?"
James replied patiently, "No, I'm just sending you home."
Without James's invitation or insistence, staying at the villa any longer would seem shameless. She thought she wouldn't have to move out once she moved in. However, to her surprise, James took the initiative to ask her to leave.
She forced a smile. "It's only fair. Your wife already has issues with us. To get a smooth divorce, we should endure this a bit longer."
James didn't respond to her words. He stood up and said, "Let's go. I'll take you home. I'll have Olivia pack your things and send them over."
Rose felt awkward but had no choice. She pretended to be agreeable.
Meanwhile, Jessica and Lily returned with a car full of shopping bags.
Lily was ecstatic. "Jessica, today was so much fun. Spending someone else's money is the best! My trunk is almost full."
Jessica smiled. "Yeah, I've been married to him for so long and never spent his money. Today, I finally did. It was worth being Mrs. Kelly in name only for so long."
Lily sighed and remarked. "It used to be in name only, but now he's already claimed you. You have got both the title and the intimacy now. Damn James, even though he is getting a divorce, but he still squeezes every last drop from you!"
As they were talking, James sent a message on Facebook. It was a picture.
Jessica clicked on it and saw a stunning pink diamond in a blue velvet box.The necklace was beyond mere words like noble and elegant.
James: [Do you like it?]
Jessica was stunned, not sure what James meant.
Lily caught a glimpse of the picture James had sent, and she instinctively slammed on the brakes, pulling over to the side of the road.
"Oh my God, it looks just like the one from the launch event. It's beautiful, the Pink Heart," Lily exclaimed.
Jessica realized it was the only necklace in the world, the Pink Heart. But why was James asking her this?
Lily glanced at the messages. "Is James planning to give you this necklace?"
Jessica replied, "You're overthinking. Even if he wanted to, it would be for Rose."
She opened Facebook and replied.
Jessica: [Not interested.]
James quickly sent another message.
James: [But I think it suits you.]
Jessica was in utter disbelief that James was planning to give her this dazzling and priceless necklace.
