Chapter 565 James, Do You Want to Go Home with Me? (3)
"Why?"
"Why do you always treat her like she's clueless, mess with her, and toy with her emotions?"
"Why do you keep dragging her into this mess, making her sink deeper and deeper, only to leave her to suffer alone?"
Thinking about this, she threw on her coat and followed him out the door.
When Olivia saw her heading out so late, she quickly asked, "Mrs. Kelly, where are you going? It's already nine o'clock."
Jessica was changing her shoes as she replied, "I have something to take care of."
Olivia, feeling frustrated, said, "Mr. Kelly just left and took the driver with him. Are you planning to drive yourself?"
"It's fine, I'll drive myself."
Before Olivia could say anything else, Jessica hurried into the garage.
She followed James' car from a distance, all the way to a private women's hospital.
Jessica gripped the steering wheel tightly. Only after James went inside did she get out of the car and follow him in.
Rose's room was the most expensive VIP suite in the hospital, a 1,000-square-foot room with several nannies attending to her.
When James entered, Rose was packing her things, and the nannies stood around helplessly.
James snapped, "Are you all useless? I didn't call you here to just stand around."
One of the nannies, feeling wronged, said, "Mr. Kelly, it's not that we don't want to help Ms. Morris, but she insists on packing herself."
James shouted at them, "Get out, all of you!"
The nannies were more than happy to leave quickly. Rose was difficult to deal with, and James had a bad temper too. They didn't want to get involved.
Once the room was empty except for the two of them, James finally lost his patience and pulled her up.
"What exactly are you trying to do?"
He spoke in a low voice, clearly trying to contain his anger and frustration.
Rose, crying, said, "It's time for me to leave. I'm satisfied just to have seen the baby's father. I just want to leave this sad place as soon as possible."
James took a deep breath and said, "You can leave after you recover. I'll arrange for someone to take you. But right now, you absolutely cannot."
"Why not?" Rose looked at him sorrowfully. "Isn't this what you wanted? As long as I'm here, neither you nor Jessica will be at ease. Since that's the case, I'm willing to sacrifice myself. Am I wrong for doing this?"
James sighed and said, "You're not wrong. It's my fault. Rose, I know I've wronged you. But if you leave now and something happens on the way, I'll feel guilty for the rest of my life. Promise me you'll recover first, so I can be at ease, okay?"
Rose suddenly threw herself into his arms, sobbing, "Don't be so good to me. I'll never be able to let you go."
James frowned slightly, trying to gently push her away.
But Rose clung to his waist, burying her head in his chest, and whispered, "Just let me hold you a little longer, out of pity for me."
James' heart softened, and he couldn't bring himself to push her away.
Just then, the door suddenly moved.
They immediately let go of each other.
Both looked towards the door, and there stood Jessica.
Her nose was red, and her eyes, empty and despairing, stared at them unblinkingly.
James looked at her in shock, frozen in place.
Jessica let out a cold, bitter laugh and asked, "How long are you going to keep lying to me? You said you wouldn't see her again; you said you wouldn't let her disrupt our lives."
