Chapter 106 You Two Stay Here
Rose chuckled, "What can I do? The view from the master bedroom is the best. I can see the green lake when I open the curtains."
Just then, James walked out of the bathroom. Unlike usual, he wasn't just in a towel; he was fully dressed in pajamas for a change.
Jessica gazed at him intensely, all her grievances and heartache welling up inside her.
Rose jumped off the bed, ran to him, and cried, "James, I should leave. Your wife doesn't want me here. She thinks I'm dirty!"
James hugged her, a cold smile on his lips, and looked at Jessica. "What right do you have to call Rose dirty? At least she's only been with me!"
The meaning behind his words was obvious.
Jessica trembled, unable to argue. She thought sadly, 'Yeah, who knows where my body has been? Even I don't know!'
She hadn't betrayed James, but she feared he'd reveal her sad past to Rose. She didn't want to fight anymore or humiliate herself further.
Jessica smiled and nodded, "Fine, you two stay here. I'll leave!" She turned and left the master bedroom.
James's expression darkened. Jessica really didn't care and wouldn't soften. She couldn't wait to leave, to find Jack, or maybe some other guy!
As she dragged her suitcase out, Olivia was downstairs. She hurriedly stopped Jessica, "Mrs. Kelly, where are you going? It's so late, it's not safe outside!"
Jessica took a deep breath, holding back tears, "Olivia, I'll be fine. You take care."
With that, she left the villa with her suitcase.
Olivia couldn't stop her, so she quickly ran upstairs, knocked on the master bedroom door, and said anxiously, "Mr. Kelly, Mrs. Kelly just left with her suitcase. It's almost ten o'clock. It's not safe!"
Inside, James frowned and glanced at the dark sky. But Rose hugged his waist and said softly, "James, don't leave me, okay? I'm also afraid of the dark."
Thinking of Jessica's betrayal, James hardened his heart and told Olivia, "From now on, don't tell me anything about Jessica!"
Olivia sighed outside the door, but she was just a housekeeper.
To distract himself, James turned on the TV. The reporter said, "Here's a news report. Recently, there have been two consecutive rape and murder cases in the city. The perpetrator is still unknown. We urge all women to be cautious when going out and to avoid going out at night."
Hearing this, Rose quickly yawned and said, "James, can you turn off the TV? I'm so tired, I want to sleep." She couldn't let James find Jessica. It would be best if Jessica encountered the perpetrator and lost her life!
After a few seconds of silence, James suddenly got out of bed and quickly dressed.
"James, where are you going?" Rose called after him, but James dressed and left the bedroom without looking back.
Their villa was tucked away in a remote area, far from the noise and activity of the community. The area was sparsely populated, and it was a long way to the subway or bus station.
So, the more he thought about it, the more worried James became. It was very dangerous for a woman to walk alone in a place like this.
