Feeling all those eyes on her, Jessica was a bit embarrassed.
Luckily, Lily stepped in just in time. "Seriously, don't you all have better things to do? It's none of your business whether it's a knockoff or not!"
Pearl then sauntered over, pretending to be nice but raising her voice on purpose. "Come on, give Jessica a break. There's only one Pink Heart bracelet in the world, and it's on my wrist. If Jessica likes it, she can only buy a knockoff, right?"
She flaunted her wrist, making sure everyone saw the bracelet, drawing envious looks.
Jessica just wanted to leave and avoid the drama. But Lily was ready to fight, standing by Jessica with fire in her eyes. She couldn't stand seeing Jessica picked on.
Lily shot back, "Even if Jessica wears a simple accessory, it looks more real than your pricey bracelet! What does that mean? You're cheap, and no matter how expensive your stuff is, you can't match its value!"
Pearl's face turned red with anger. She pointed at Lily, shouting, "What did you say? Say it again!"
Her outburst caught everyone's attention. The music seemed to pause, and conversations stopped as guests turned to watch.
James, standing at a distance, yet his gaze remained fixed on the heart of the conflict.
Seeing the bracelet on Jessica's wrist, he felt a pang of guilt. 'She likes the Pink Heart, but I can't give it to her, and now she has to deal with this.'
James's eyes showed a bit of pain, but he held back. If he stepped in now, everyone would know about his relationship with Jessica.
Meanwhile, Rose smirked, enjoying the spectacle. She hadn't expected someone else to put Jessica in the spotlight.
She thought, 'Even if Jessica is Mrs. Kelly, so what? She still has to wear a knockoff. Unlike me, wearing this million-dollar pink diamond necklace.'
The argument continued, drawing more onlookers.
Jack couldn't stand seeing Jessica bullied. He walked over, and told everyone, "Sorry, everyone. This bracelet is a gift I gave to Miss Jessica Evans. I didn't know it was a knockoff of Master Karen's work; I just thought it suited her. Please don't jump to conclusions!"
Pearl was shocked, not expecting the bracelet to be a gift from Jack. She got even angrier. "Mr. Jack, giving someone a fake bracelet, aren't you ashamed?"
Jack was at a loss when a gentle voice chimed in. Kennedy Perez walked up, examined the bracelet, and said, "Miss Jessica Evans's bracelet is genuine. It is the Pink Heart, the only work by Master Karen."
Jack felt a bit guilty; he had bought the bracelet from Kennedy.
Kennedy had first dibs on the bracelet because she was friends with Master Karen. He didn't expect her to be here.
