Chapter 112 My Husband Has Plenty of Money

Lily was fuming and ready to rip Rose's face off.

But Jessica pulled her back and calmly told the clerk, "I'll take this necklace. Wrap it up."

Lily was momentarily taken aback, her mind racing with the fear that Jessica might not have enough money, which would only add to their humiliation in front of Rose.

But Jessica had already pulled out the black card James had given her.

Jessica smiled at Rose and said, "Charge it to this. We saw the necklace first, and you know what they say: first come, first served."

Rose recognized the black card as James's. There were only a few in Ocean City, and Jessica's card could only come from James.

Instantly, a surge of jealousy filled Rose's chest. She sneered, "Jessica, James is about to divorce you. Isn't it too much to still be spending my fiancé's money?"

Jessica had decided to let go with dignity. She didn't want to argue with Rose or use marriage to bind James. But Rose seemed determined to provoke her, to push her buttons and make her feel disgusted.

So, Jessica, with an icy tone, replied, "Who said we're getting a divorce? Is it just his decision? I'm spending my husband's money right now. As his mistress, you'd better keep a low profile. Otherwise, I can take back the bag you carry, the car you drive, and the house you live in!"

She then turned to the clerk and said, "What are you waiting for? Charge the card and wrap the necklace!"

Rose glared at her but couldn't make a scene in public. Otherwise, more people would know she was just James's mistress.

But this wasn't just about a necklace. Giving up the necklace meant losing face.

Rose stepped aside, picked up her phone, and called James, playing the victim.

Just as Jessica and Lily were about to take the necklace, the store's phone rang. The clerk answered and kept apologizing to the person on the other end.

Finally, she handed the gift box to Rose, repeatedly apologizing, "I'm sorry, Miss Morris, really sorry."

Rose took the necklace and looked at her arrogantly, saying, "Next time, be more discerning when selling things. Such an exquisite piece, personally designed by Master Karen, isn't meant for losers!"

"Who are you calling a loser? Jessica, let go of me; she's just taking advantage of you being easy to bully!" Lily was furious and was ready to to confront Rose, but Jessica held her back.

Jessica's eyes were cold, but she stayed rational. They couldn't teach Rose a lesson like last time; the fallout would be too detrimental.

Jessica felt a pang of bitterness. She knew James was supporting Rose behind the scenes. The Kelly Corporation held significant sway as a major shareholder of Golden Plaza, Rose could get whatever she wanted with just a word from James.

She could force herself not to dwell on it, not to ask questions. But being provoked and having to swallow her pride was something she simply couldn't endure.

So, she held Lily tightly and said, "There are better and more expensive necklaces in this store. Whatever you want, just pick it. My husband has plenty of money, and we'll charge it to his card."

The last sentence was aimed at Rose.

Lily immediately caught on to Jessica's plan. She winked at Jessica and said, "Then I won't hold back! After all, James has a lot of money, and if we don't spend it, it's a waste."
