Chapter 221 We Can Announce Our Relationship Now

Leo looked shocked and stammered, "Who are you to Jessica?"

"Her husband," James said with a smirk. "Is that clear enough?"

Both Leo and Jessica were stunned. James was finally acknowledging their relationship publicly.

Leo shook his head. "No way. Jessica's still a student. She never said she was married."

"She's just low-key," James replied coolly. Leaning in, he warned, "Stay away from Jessica. Don't bother her again, or I'll make sure you can't stay in Ocean City. You're about to graduate. Think about your future."

With that, James walked to his car, pulling Jessica along.

"Wait, my car," Jessica pointed out.

James quickly called his driver to handle it.

Leo stood there, feeling humiliated. 'So what if he's rich? Why does he think he can get any woman he wants? Why does he treat me with such arrogance?'

In the car, Jessica was still surprised. She looked at James, her eyes sparkling. "Why did you come? I texted you I'd be back after dropping off Kylie."

"I was worried it would be too late for you to be alone," James said with a warm smile. Jessica felt relieved. If James hadn't shown up, she didn't know how she'd handle Leo's pestering.

"You told Leo about us. What if he spreads it around?" Jessica asked, curious.

James gently stroked her cheek. "Let him spread. We're a legitimate couple, not having an affair. So what if people know?"

Jessica was surprised by his calmness. "You wanted to keep our marriage a secret before."

James held her hand, looking serious. "If you want, we can announce it now. But if you're worried about school rumors, we can wait until you graduate. It's your call."

Jessica blushed and pouted, "But you haven't even proposed! Every girl wants a dreamy wedding. I didn't get that."

James chuckled and wrapped his arm around her. "Don't worry, you'll get all that. I promise."

They chatted and laughed all the way home, feeling closer with each word. The incident with Leo seemed like a distant memory.

When they reached their bedroom, James noticed Jessica's empty hands. "Didn't you go shopping? Why didn't you buy anything?"

Pulling her into his arms, he joked, "Saving up for me?"

Jessica shot back playfully, "Isn't your money my money? So technically, I'm saving up for myself!"
