Chapter 207 Inside and Out, You Are All Mine

James murmured softly, almost pleading, "Promise me, let's just forget this, okay?"

Jessica, eyes brimming with tears, asked, "Can we really forget? Do you mind?"

"I only regret not being there for you, not being able to protect you, not aiding in resolving the issues with the Evans family," James said, his voice rising with emotion. "Remember, you did nothing wrong. You shouldn't face this alone."

Jessica was taken aback by his words. She leaned into his chest, tears flowing, and said, "I thought when you left today, you wouldn't come back. I thought you'd see me as dirty."

James cupped her face and kissed her urgently, unable to bear her self-loathing.

His urgency was mixed with gentleness. Jessica felt her worries melt away, her world revolving around James.

When he finally pulled back, leaving her breathless, he scooped her up and laid her on the bed. Her heart raced, nervous but ready to trust him completely.

James moved with a mix of urgency and care, guiding her. Their fingers intertwined, a promise of never letting go. It wasn't until the late hours of the night that their breaths gradually slowed, the air around them thick with a shared intimacy.

As the night wore on, James stroked her hair and whispered, "You're mine, pure inside and out. Don't belittle yourself. It hurts me more than you know."

That night was the most peaceful and happy Jessica had felt in over two years of marriage.

It seemed all their problems faded away, a light breaking through the darkness.

After a few days of treatment and James's care, Jessica was finally discharged from the hospital.

That day, she was in a great mood.

James carried her to the car and fastened her seatbelt.

Olivia, following behind, smiled and said, "Mr. Kelly is really good to Mrs. Kelly."

Jessica shyly told James, "Can you stop treating me like a child?"

James smiled and kissed her cheek, "Isn't this nice? I'll make up for everything I missed before."

Jessica didn't say anything, but her heart felt warm.

When they arrived at James's villa, Jessica was surprised to see her dad, John, and her grandma, Louisa, at the gate, deep in conversation.

"My dad and Grandma?" Jessica looked at James, surprised.

James explained calmly, "I know you care about your dad. I withdrew the lawsuit against your grandma, but they have to apologize to you. That's my condition."
