Jessica felt a sharp pain in her heart and replied coldly, "This has nothing to do with me. Do whatever you want!"
He didn't do anything else but humiliated her while she was bulldozed by others this night.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and gave up.
Rose, Rose! That name haunted her like a nightmare.
She thought, 'Would James ever treat Rose this way?'
Jessica just gave a bitter, sarcastic smile.
James suddenly realized his serious explanation was pointless.
He snapped, "I'll have the driver take you home. Also, return the bracelet to Jack. Don't let me see you wearing it again!"
Jessica didn't respond, just stared at the bracelet.
Remembering the pink diamond necklace Rose wore, her heart ached.
Seeing this, James's anger flared, and he asked, "What? Can't bear to part with it?"
Jessica looked at him indifferently and shot back, "Rose can accept your gifts, why can't I accept Jack's?"
"So, how far have you two gone?" James stared at her, "What did you give him for such an expensive bracelet?"
The fact that Jack spent a million dollars on the bracelet shocked James.
But why would he give Jessica something so pricey?
James didn't believe there was nothing between them!
Just then, there was a knock on the lounge door. It was Lily.
"Is anyone in there?" Lily asked. She had waited in the restroom for a long time but couldn't find Jessica.
So she searched the backstage lounges one by one.
Hearing Lily's voice, Jessica saw a glimmer of hope and pushed James away, flinging the door open.
Lily stood there, wide-eyed, taking in the scene. Her gaze shifted to the marks on Jessica's neck and her swollen eyes. A wave of fury and sorrow surged through Lily. She stepped into the lounge and slammed the door shut.
'If Jessica's reputation, already half-ruined by Pearl, is completely destroyed, it will be over!' she thought.
Jessica couldn't hold back any longer. She rushed into Lily's arms and sobbed uncontrollably, each tear breaking Lily's heart a little more.
James, the cause of all this pain, stood there with a cold, indifferent stare, showing no remorse.
Lily's anger boiled over, her voice trembling as she shouted, "James, you beast! You play around with women and have an affair, but why do you treat Jessica like this? Who do you think you are!"
James’s gaze remained icy, his words cutting through the air. "Because I am still her husband."
Lily's eyes narrowed with determination. "Just wait. If I don't get Jessica to divorce you this time, I'll take your last name!"
Holding Jessica tightly, she led her toward the door. "Let’s go, Jessica! Divorce him. Anything is better than this humiliation and abuse!"
James disdained to argue with Lily. Besides, as long as he didn't let her go, Jessica leaving would only be temporary.
She couldn't escape his control.
However, after punishing Jessica, he didn't feel relieved but rather more miserable.
