Chapter 263 He Only Wants the Child Born by Jessica
James smirked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Do I really need to keep my distance from my own wife?"
Jessica, too nervous to argue, stuttered, "But you're making me super uncomfortable."
James leaned in closer, his tone teasing. "Uncomfortable, huh? Last night when you were calling me 'honey,' you didn't seem so uncomfortable."
Jessica stared at him, shocked. He'd never talked like this before. The more he spoke, the more embarrassed she felt.
Before she could protest, James kissed her again, his hands wandering under her clothes.
"Stop it, don't," Jessica pleaded, looking at him. "I'm still feeling uncomfortable about what you did last night."
James left a mark on her neck and whispered, "This way, we'll have a baby sooner, right?"
Jessica's face went pale. She thought, 'Is James nuts? He already has a kid with someone else, and now he wants one with me? No way!'
Seeing her so tense, James smirked and asked, "What? You don't want to? We've been married for ages, and you've never thought about having a kid with me?"
Jessica was at a loss for words; how could she tell him she was ready to leave him anytime? At the latest, she'd cut ties with him once Rose's baby was born.
So, she pushed him away, turned her back to him, and said, "I'm still a student; at least wait until I graduate, okay?"
James sneered, sensing her stalling. He hugged her from behind and said, "But I can't wait. Grandpa's getting old and probably wants a great-grandkid! When I was in school, lots of my classmates had kids during their master's. You can have the baby, and I'll find someone to take care of it; it won't mess with your studies. How about that?"
"That's still not okay!" Jessica argued, trying to think of a way to refuse him. "Isn't Rose's kid also your kid and Grandpa's great-grandkid? Why are you pushing me to have a baby now?"
James forcefully turned her around. His deep eyes stared at her, and he said, "But I only want a child from you. This kid will be the rightful heir of the Kelly family."
Jessica was slightly stunned. If James had said this before, she would've been deeply moved. But now, none of this mattered. She didn't want an heir or the Kelly family. All she wanted was to be with him, but even that seemed impossible.
Jessica didn't respond, hurriedly got out of bed, and said, "I'm gonna be late for work."
James watched her quietly and didn't offer to see her off like he usually did.
Before heading out, Jessica said, "I'm visiting my dad tonight, so I won't be coming back."
James, however, said, "You can see your dad, but you must come home at night. The daughter-in-law of the Kelly family doesn't stay out overnight."
Jessica was extremely frustrated. Even though James didn't love her before, he never controlled her like this or set rules. Now, she could felt he was angry, but she couldn't figure out why.
Finally she reluctantly agreed and hurried off to work.
