Chapter 415 This Time, It's Your Turn to Take the Initiative (1)

Seeing Jessica's innocent and pure face, Nathan felt his heart melt completely.

He smiled and comforted her, "You're overthinking. I told you, as long as you're willing, I'll help you achieve your dreams."

"Thank you, Professor Howard."

Jessica beamed with a bright and radiant smile.

Nathan couldn't help but take a few more glances at her, and his mood improved as well.

After this night shift, Jessica knew she couldn't avoid it any longer, so she returned to James's villa on her own.

Olivia was especially surprised to see her back, "Mrs. Kelly? You're back? I knew Mr. Kelly would bring you back."

Jessica forced a smile and said, "Olivia, long time no see."

"Yes, it's been a long time."

Olivia's eyes reddened with excitement, and she quickly took Jessica's luggage, choking up, "Thank goodness you're finally home."

Jessica felt a pang of sadness in her heart.

Home?

How could this place still be called "home"?

Olivia put Jessica's things back in the master bedroom, carefully tidying up, and couldn't help but clarify for James.

"Mrs. Kelly, during the time you were away, Mr. Kelly never brought any random women here. Rest assured, the bedroom is clean."

After Olivia finished speaking, Jessica gave a bitter smile.

Have women's expectations of men really fallen this low?

Well, Olivia had seen how excessive James's behavior had been before.

Olivia was still happy about Jessica's return, completely unaware of the hidden truth.

She held Jessica's hand and said, "Come on, Mrs. Kelly, I've prepared dinner. Mr. Kelly said you were coming back today and had me make all your favorite dishes."

Hearing such warm words, Jessica's heart no longer felt any warmth.

She sat at the dining table, not daring to eat first, waiting for James to come back.

After all, now this person should be considered her benefactor.

At this moment, Kylie's call came in.

Jessica quickly walked to the living room and answered the phone alone.

Her concerned voice came through the phone, "Jessica, how did that matter go? Did you explain everything to James?"

Jessica whispered, "No, he doesn't need to know."

"What do you mean? Don't do anything foolish."

Kylie was startled and quickly said, "You're not thinking of aborting the baby again, are you? You need to think this through, at least let the child's father know."

Jessica's eyes darkened, and she said, "This is my own business. Telling him will only make things more complicated."

Her voice carried a hint of pain as she said softly, "Kylie, don't worry about me. If I make a decision, I'll let you know."

Just then, James's voice came from the doorway, "What decision?"

Jessica was startled and looked up to meet James's puzzled gaze.

She immediately hung up the phone, nervously looking at him, her heart pounding.

Her panic was fully captured by James.

James walked towards her step by step, glanced at her phone, and said, "Hand it over!"

Thinking of the Evans family's situation, Jessica didn't dare to argue with him and obediently handed over the phone.

James scrolled through the call log, seeing only Kylie's name, not Nathan's.

He snorted coldly and handed the phone back to her, saying, "Being so cautious even when calling a friend?"

Jessica, afraid he might notice something, suppressed her panic and explained, "I just didn't expect you to come in suddenly, so I was startled."
