Chapter 250 Rose's Career Is Ruined (1)

Rose looked at him with emotion and said softly, "I believe our child will be born safely."

She ceased pressuring James for a divorce and managed the situation adeptly. Following a brief conversation, she was prepared to leave, preventing any bitterness from James.

She knew that even without pushing for a divorce, as long as their child and relationship existed, Jessica wouldn't tolerate it.

Eventually, they'd get divorced.

With this in mind, Rose became more considerate, making James notice the difference between her and Jessica.

"James, I'm heading out. Don't work too hard," she said, giving him a reluctant glance before leaving his office.

The secretary, eager to please, escorted her downstairs.

As they walked to her car, the secretary asked, "Miss Morris, when will you and Mr. Kelly get married?"

Rose smiled shyly and replied, "Soon." Then she got into her car.

John, standing nearby, overheard the conversation.

He watched Rose's car in disbelief. Could she be the woman James was seeing?

Deciding not to visit James, he got into his car and followed Rose.

At the dance studio, Rose basked in the adoration of parents, high-society ladies among them, who hung on her every word.

"Ms. Morris, can my daughter move up to the adult group this year and join the national dance competition?" one lady asked.

"Ms. Morris, my daughter too. She can move up in two months. We need your special attention!" another lady said.

Rose basked in their admiration, exuding an air of elegance. "Dear parents, I appreciate your enthusiasm. Please be patient. I'll draft this year's national dance competition list based on the children's progress."

Another parent interjected, "Ms. Morris, I heard you changed the schedule from three classes a week to two. Is everything alright at home? You used to be very diligent."

Rose smiled gently, patting her belly. "Thank you for your concern. Everything is fine. I'm just pregnant and need more rest."

"Oh, you're pregnant?" the parents exclaimed. "So, Ms. Morris is married? Congratulations!"

Before Rose could respond, a stern voice cut through the air, silencing everyone. "A homewrecker carrying an illegitimate child, how dare you teach others?"

Rose's face paled as the parents appeared shocked, their admiration fading to suspicion.

Desperately trying to stay composed, Rose glared at the intruder, panic in her voice. "What nonsense are you spouting? Who are you? I don't even know you! Parents, don't listen to him. He's trying to slander me!"

John snorted, eyes blazing with anger. "You might not know me, but you know my daughter, Jessica. You stole her husband and ruined her family. Can you deny it?"

Rose suddenly realized. The man in front of her was Jessica's father.
