One sentence shattered the sweet atmosphere in the car.
James tightened his grip on the steering wheel and repeated, "I've already told you, she and the child will stay abroad. I won't let her come back and disrupt your life. Jessica, you are my only wife."
Jessica's lips curved bitterly.
What was she still hoping for?
Rose's child was already so big; how could he not want it?
After all, it was a living, breathing little life.
She swallowed all her words.
James sighed in disappointment and didn't bring up the topic of getting back together again.

James asked, "Have you decided on a major?"

James coldly said, "You should apply to other professors. Nathan, I can't accept you being his student."
Jessica knew he was naturally domineering and possessive, but she didn't want to be a puppet in his hands, controlled by him.

So, she agreed for now, not wanting to upset him.
Seeing her agree so readily, James's mood improved significantly.

While taking a shower, Jessica noticed her lower abdomen had become noticeably more pronounced compared to before.
She was startled. At this rate, James would find out in less than a month.
After her shower, Jessica deliberately put on a very loose nightgown to cover her slightly protruding belly.
Fortunately, James didn't think much of it and enthusiastically called her over to choose wedding photos.
She sat on the bed, flipping through their wedding photos with James.

His eyes revealed an undeniable desire as he said, "I've already given you a lot of time, but we can't go on like this forever. Jessica, I'm a man. I respect you and give you time because I love you. But no man can always remain calm and abstinent with the one he loves!"
