Chapter 591 James and Jessica Will Meet Soon (3)
Rose forced a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "Thanks to you guys, my good brothers, I've managed to hold on until now. By the way, has the doctor checked on Ambrose recently? Any chance he'll wake up?"
Cameron sighed heavily and shook his head. "Doesn't look good."
Rose felt a strange sense of relief. She then said, "I need your help with something."
She handed him a photo of Jessica and continued, "This is Jessica, also known as Susan. She's a top cardiac surgeon at Ocean City Hospital. I need you to find out what she's been up to abroad all these years, who she's been with, and how she suddenly became an expert."
Cameron took the photo and nodded. "Got it. I'll take care of it."
"Thanks, Cameron."
Rose then pulled out a luxury watch and handed it to him. "This is the watch James bought at the auction. Isaac's too young for something this fancy, so you should have it."
Cameron, Ambrose's closest subordinate, was now the one everyone listened to. Keeping him on her side was crucial.
But Cameron shook his head. "Rose, there's no need for this. The boss saved my life. You and Isaac are the most important people to him. It's my duty to help you."
Rose hadn't expected such loyalty. She hinted, "Cameron, I know you're loyal to Ambrose. But I hope you'll also see me as your boss. After all, with Ambrose in his current state, Isaac will be the one to take over, right?"
Cameron looked at her, a bit puzzled, and nodded slowly.
A month later, the new medication Jessica had been using on the pediatric patients, though still in the trial phase, had shown promising results.
Many of the children's clinical symptoms had significantly improved, drawing a swarm of reporters to Ocean City Hospital for interviews.
However, Jessica, who preferred to stay out of the spotlight, declined all interviews.
Despite her refusal, news about Susan's new medication improving many children's conditions spread across major websites and newspapers.
Rose stared at the newspaper in disbelief, feeling both excited and angry.
On one hand, she saw hope for saving Isaac; on the other, she didn't want to admit that Jessica had truly become an expert in this field.
She just couldn't believe it!
At that moment, Cameron handed her the results of his investigation.
"This Susan has two kids abroad, likely born out of wedlock. The father's identity is unknown. Her mentor is Nathan, a renowned cardiac surgeon, and it seems they are quite close."
Rose froze, her lips trembling as she asked in disbelief, "You said she has two kids? Do you know when they were born?"
Cameron replied truthfully, "Five years ago, at a private hospital abroad. They are twins, a boy and a girl. It seems she suffered a severe hemorrhage during childbirth, leading to partial memory loss due to oxygen deprivation."
Rose's heart sank. She never imagined that Jessica had given birth to James's children.
And not just one, but two!
Five years ago, James had told her that Jessica had aborted his child.
He had been devastated for a long time because of it.
