Back in the day, Rose had this smug look and said, "Mr. Price, you seriously don't get it, do you? My students come from top-tier families. No offense, but folks from the sticks like you? Even if I teach you, you won't get the nod from everyone. No connections, no clout, and you think you can be a star?"
Back then, she was James's number one, and Sean had to suck it up. But now? He didn't have to put up with her crap anymore.
So, he shot back, ice-cold, "Just talked to the doc. Your pregnancy's stable, you can leave whenever. You heading abroad tomorrow or the day after? Gotta book those tickets."
"I'm not going anywhere!" Rose snapped, her eyes all bloodshot. "Where's James? I need to see him!"
Sean, cool as a cucumber, said, "Mr. Kelly's busy with Mrs. Kelly. No time for you."
Rose lost it as she shouted, "I get it now. You and Jessica are in on this! All of you!"
Sean hinted, "Miss Morris, if Mr. Kelly sees you like this, he might like you even less."
Rose hurled a cup at him. "Get out! Get out!"
Sean left her room without another word. Back at the office, he headed straight to James's office, ready for the fallout.
James didn't even glance up. "Your efficiency's tanking, Sean. Need a refresher course?"
"Mr. Kelly, I swear, I tried everything. Miss Morris is too stubborn, can't just drag her away," Sean said, genuinely.
James sighed, feeling a bit bad for Rose, "What did she say? Baby's okay, right?"
Sean sighed, "You wouldn't believe it. First time I've seen her so hysterical, throwing cups and all. But she seems fine, so the baby's probably good."
James frowned, unable to imagine Rose throwing a tantrum. He glared at Sean and said, "You failed and now you're blaming others?"
Sean scratched his nose, feeling stuck. He knew Rose was a master at faking it and would never show her wild side to James.
Meanwhile, Rose finally tracked down Jessica's department after asking around.
"Jessica, someone's here for you!" a young nurse called out.
Jessica didn't expect Rose to show up. Worried she'd cause a scene, she quickly stepped out, "What are you doing here?"
"To apologize. Didn't you want me to apologize to your dad?" Rose's eyes were full of hate, but she lowered her head. "Just stop making things hard for me and my baby, and I'll apologize."
Jessica sneered, "Miss Morris, is that how you apologize? You really know how to grovel."
"Jessica, don't push me!" Rose said through gritted teeth. "Your dad scared off all my students, my career's in the toilet. I'm here to apologize in person. What more do you want? Even if you send me abroad, I'm still having this baby."
