Chapter 20 I Love You
"I..." She bit her lip, struggling internally.
Jessica felt a wave of panic, but she thought about the coldness over the past two years. Should she really take the initiative?
Her cheeks flushed, and her clear eyes looked as innocent as a little rabbit's, timidly gazing at him. "Don't you want to kiss me? I really want it."
James's gaze involuntarily fell on her.
Jessica's delicate and exquisite figure was on display before him, her face tinged with a blush, her long eyelashes trembling slightly, making her look both innocent and alluring as if she was emitting an electric current that made his heart flutter.
Under the black lace nightgown, her curvaceous body was faintly visible, like a ripe peach waiting to be picked, exuding a fatal temptation.
He forcibly suppressed the strange feeling in his heart, his Adam's apple involuntarily moving.
"I'll make you feel good."
Jessica's face was flushed, and her soft hands deftly untied the towel around his waist.
With a gentle tug, the towel fell, exposing James's strong body to the air, water droplets sliding down his firm muscles, dazzling to the eyes.
His bronze skin and eight-pack abs all showcased James's strength and charm.
James had never been this close to a woman before. Facing her direct gaze, he felt his heart raced, and he forcibly restrained the heat rising within him, saying in a low voice, "Get out!"
Jessica looked like a wronged little fox, her eyes glistening with tears, filled with self-doubt. Was she not beautiful enough?
Under the dim light, James looked down at her, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes, and he said lightly, "You've gone to great lengths to marry me and become Mrs. Kelly. You've already gotten what you wanted. Don't be greedy."
"Want my love? You don't deserve it."
Whenever he said these words, despair would flood Jessica's heart like a tide.
In his eyes, she was just a girl from a humble background, clinging to The Kelly Family for fame and fortune, and having a child was just a tool for power.
But he had no idea that they had actually known each other for a long time, long enough for him to forget, but she still remembered.
"I love you, James."
Jessica said softly, standing on her tiptoes, trying to bring her kiss to his lips.
She longed for his response, even if it was just a little bit of tenderness.
Her petite figure, facing James's tall and upright stature, struggled to maintain her balance like a fragile vine trying to cling to a towering tree.
The kiss was light and brief, yet it made James dazed for a moment.
He smelled the faint scent of her perfume, mixed with the freshness of her body wash, inexplicably making his heart race.
He knew in his heart that he had no affection for this vain Jessica. Marriage should be free, not a forced constraint.
How could he possibly develop feelings of love for her?
Thinking of this, he almost mercilessly grabbed Jessica's slender and elegant neck, making her unable to breathe, her cheeks instantly turning red like a ripe peach, tempting to be picked.
But in his eyes, the delicate Jessica in front of him, her faint breathing, the way her red lips slightly parted, and the warm breath gently brushing against the back of his hand stirred a ripple deep within him.
Damn it! His body involuntarily longed to hold her tightly in his arms, but he forced himself to restrain, pushing her away as if she were a monster.
