Chapter 592 James and Jessica Will Meet Soon (4)
It was her who stayed by his side with Isaac, watching him grow day by day, that finally helped James move past his grief.
Rose suddenly realized that Jessica had only pretended to lose the baby all those years ago. In reality, she had gone abroad to have the child!
Now, Rose was more terrified than ever. She prayed that Jessica wouldn't come back with the two children; that Jessica wouldn't remember the past; that Jessica wouldn't run into James again.
Otherwise, everything she had painstakingly built over the past five years would be ruined!
Unaware of the complicated history between them, Cameron suggested, "Hey Rose, I heard this Susan is excellent. She just came back and developed a new drug that's effective for congenital heart disease. Maybe you should take Isaac to see her."
Distracted, Rose replied, "Yeah, I know. As long as there's a glimmer of hope, I won't give up."
After Cameron left, she was engulfed in endless panic and contemplation.
As soon as she got home, she heard Olivia's voice outside.
"Mr. Kelly, Mr. Kelly! What's wrong?"
The frantic voice snapped Rose back to reality, and she immediately ran to the living room.
Isaac was on the floor, his face turning blue and gasping for air.
Rose knew Isaac was having another attack.
Terrified, she rushed to Isaac, holding him in her arms, and shouted at Olivia, "Quick! Call 911!"
She went to the hospital in an ambulance.
James soon got the news and rushed to the hospital as well.
Although the doctors managed to stabilize Isaac for now, they warned, "The patient's heart condition is very severe. You should be prepared. Next time, we might not be able to save him."
Tears streaming down her face, Rose pleaded, "Doctor, use the best medicine you have. We don't care about the cost, just save our child's life."
The doctor sighed, "We don't have any better options here. But I suggest you go to Ocean City Hospital. They recently brought in a foreign expert. I heard the children in her clinical trials are doing well. But you need to be accepted into her trial group, as the drug isn't approved yet. Only then can you try this new medication."
Rose's heart leaped into her throat, and she glanced at James out of the corner of her eye.
After the doctor left, James looked at her critically and demanded, "Didn't you say last time that this Susan was just a quack? But now her drug actually works. Rose, what are you thinking? Isaac's life was almost lost because of you!"
Hiding her guilt, Rose immediately started crying, sobbing, "I was misled by those people. Everyone said she wasn't competent, that she was too young. I didn't know they were so irresponsible! I regret it now!"
James said coldly, "I'll have someone find this doctor's contact information and get her to see Isaac. Maybe there's still hope."
As soon as he finished speaking, Rose's heart was in her throat.
If that happened, Jessica and James would meet very soon.
