Chapter 257 He Chose Jessica Without Hesitation (1)
Jessica's eyes lit up, and she exclaimed, "For real? You serious?"
James nodded. "Yeah, dead serious. What's the plan? Spill it, and I'll take care of it."
Jessica slowly wrapped her arm around his, acting all cute, and said, "Ship her off abroad right now. I don't want her in Ocean City. I don't want her around. I don't wanna share you with anyone. If she's outta the country, I can pretend like nothing happened."
James always thought of himself as a guy with strong principles, the type who'd push back against such demands. But now, with Jessica leaning into him, her eyes pleading softly, how could he say no?
"Alright." James said just one word before he couldn't help but gently press her onto the sofa.
Even though Jessica was set on pleasing him and getting what she wanted, she still had some resentment towards him, so her body instinctively resisted.
To keep James from noticing, she stiffened up and gently pushed him, whispering, "Olivia's still here."
"She won't come over." James whispered back. He could barely hold himself back, burying his face in her neck, inhaling her scent.
His stubble scratched her skin, making it itch, and a weird feeling spread through her body.
Jessica nervously closed her eyes, her hands gripping the sofa beneath her.
At that moment, James's big hand covered her small one, chuckling softly, "It's been so long. Why are you still so shy?"
His words made her even more embarrassed, and she turned her face away, saying, "Stop talking."
Underneath him, Jessica's cheeks turned a rosy pink, a mix of innocence and allure.
James couldn't hold back any longer and lowered his head to kiss her soft lips. Having not touched her for so long, James didn't let her go until midnight.
Jessica lay weakly on the bed, her heart heavy with sorrow. James thought she had forgiven him. Only she knew that Rose and that unborn child were a barrier she couldn't cross. She had her pride; she would never accept it, let alone forgive!
The next day, Sean, following James's orders, went to the hospital.
After delivering James's message to Rose, she widened her eyes in disbelief.
Rose shook her head desperately and yelled, "What did you say? No way! James wouldn't be so heartless!"
Sean hid his disdain and impatience, saying, "Miss Morris, Mrs. Kelly's tolerance of you and this child is already very generous. Why are you still dissatisfied?"
Rose gritted her teeth and asked, "What did you say? Is this Jessica's idea? Is she the one making me leave the country and leave James?"
Sean deliberately said, "What woman in this world would want to share her husband with someone else? Besides, the child you're carrying is illegitimate. Luckily, Mrs. Kelly is kind-hearted; otherwise, who knows if your child would even be safe!"
With Sean's years of experience working for James, it was clear that Rose wasn't as important to James as she used to be.
Moreover, when James showed favoritism toward Rose, she made things difficult for Sean, especially when he wanted his sister to take dance lessons from her but she rejected.
