Chapter 160 The Hidden Truth About Rose Is Discovered (2)

Willie hinted that Rose might not actually have depression.

Willie was clear, "Last time, her symptoms matched severe depression perfectly. Her answers on the depression scale were consistent, so we skipped the EEG and started treatment. But only an EEG can confirm if her brainwaves match those of a depression patient."

James asked, "Are you saying you misdiagnosed her?"

Willie, a bit annoyed, replied, "No, I'm suggesting she might be faking it!"

James glanced at the lounge door, worried. He stepped out to make sure Rose couldn't hear. "Impossible," he said firmly. "I've seen her suicidal tendencies and self-harm scars. You've seen them too, right?"

Willie chuckled skeptically. "I think you trust her too much. I don't have direct evidence now. Accompany her to the hospital again. If she has severe depression, the EEG will show it."

James, though reluctant to doubt Rose, felt he had to check it out.

"Alright, Dr. Willie, I'll bring her in soon." He hung up and returned to his office, deep in thought. 'Could Rose really be deceiving me?'

Just then, Sean walked in, looking for praise. "Mr. Kelly, I've done everything you asked. Here's the engraving on the diamond necklace, with Miss Evans' initials. This rare pink diamond now belongs to Miss Evans."

James nodded, hoping the gift would cheer up Jessica after today's lunch.

As he was about to put the necklace away, Rose walked out of the lounge.

"Wow, this is beautiful," she said, taking the necklace from James's hand.

Her smile was bright. "Is this the second surprise you planned for me today?"

James and Sean exchanged a complicated look.

Seeing Rose's excitement, James couldn't tell her the necklace was for Jessica. He glared at Sean, silently blaming him for the interruption.

Sean, catching the hint, quickly excused himself and left.

Rose, wearing the necklace, was thrilled. "James, I thought you didn't care about me as much. But this is the real surprise you had for me," she said, genuinely happy.

With tears in her eyes, she hugged him. "Thank you. I love it, I really love it."

James's hand stiffened. After several attempts to speak, he finally said, "As long as you like it."

Looking at Rose in his arms, he remembered Willie's words. He spoke softly, "Rose, your illness seems to disappear whenever you see me."

Rose's body stiffened. She replied nervously, "Yes, you are my medicine. Seeing you makes everything better."
