Chapter 404 Forcing Rose to Have an Abortion (2)
"Why are you here?" Jessica looked at him suspiciously.
Seeing that she was fine, James asked, "The butler said you just had a run-in with some troublemakers. Is everything resolved now?"
Jessica was puzzled and shook her head, saying, "No. I've been here all afternoon, and everything's fine."
James finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The butler had described the situation vividly, saying that troublemakers had come to cause problems and that Jessica was almost hit, which was very dangerous.
He couldn't stop worrying about her, so he rushed over.
Unexpectedly, Jessica was perfectly fine.
"Jessica, have you had enough?"
James said angrily, "You're the one who wanted the divorce! Now you're framing Rose in front of grandpa, telling him all these truths. If grandpa gets upset and something happens to him, I won't forgive you!"
Jessica looked at him in bewilderment and said angrily, "Are you out of your mind? If grandpa gets upset, it's because of you! James, don't push me too far!"
James simply dragged her into the duty room and slammed the door shut.
The next second, Jessica was pinned against the door by him.
"Jessica, who exactly is pushing too far?"
James's handsome face was filled with sharpness and anger as he gritted his teeth and said, "I've already let you and that Howard guy be together right under my nose, what more do you want? Don't think that just because grandpa sides with you, you can talk to me like this. If you anger me, I'll make sure you know whose woman you are!"
Just then, Jessica's phone rang.
The ringtone persisted, and James let her go, frowning, "Answer the phone."
Jessica had just taken out her phone when James, thinking it was Nathan, snatched it away and answered the call.
But unexpectedly, it was Kylie's voice on the other end.
"Jessica, something big has happened! That woman was brought in for an abortion today."
Kylie said excitedly, "My teacher is about to start the surgery on her! Oh, I can't hold it in, I had to tell you this great news first. I'm about to go into the operating room, so I'll talk to you later."
James stood there in shock, listening to the busy tone on the phone.
What did Kylie mean by that?
Jessica immediately took her phone back and said angrily, "James, can you stop grabbing other people's phones all the time? Do you know what respect is?"
James suddenly grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up, and said word by word, "You're talking to me about respect now? You and my grandpa teamed up to force Rose to abort the baby, and you have the nerve to talk to me about respect? If anything happens to Rose, I won't forgive you!"
With that, he turned and ran out.
Jessica's heart sank. She looked at his back in confusion and immediately checked the call log to call Kylie back.
But no one answered.
Jessica was anxious, not knowing what Kylie had said that made James so angry.
She rushed out the door, intending to go to the obstetrics and gynecology department to find out.
When Jessica arrived at the obstetrics and gynecology department, she happened to see James carrying Rose out of the operating room.
Rose's face was pale, and she was unconscious in his arms.
Jessica froze, a bad feeling rising within her.
She didn't even dare to look James in the eye and asked in a low voice, "What happened to her?"
