Gerald said in a deep voice, "This is something that a woman would do. Back then, I thought she was up to no good, which is why I was adamant about stopping James from marrying her. I just didn't expect she would still manage to deceive James!"
Jessica, holding back her heartache, tried to persuade him, "But now, she's already carrying a Kelly family child. Haven't you always wanted a great-grandchild?"

Gerald said angrily, "I want a great-grandchild, but it should be your and James's child, not one born by that woman! How can such a malicious woman be worthy of marrying into the Kelly family? Go! Bring James in here."
Jessica lowered her eyelashes and remained silent.
Gerald looked at her deeply and said, "Girl, tell grandpa the truth. Do you have someone you like outside? Is that person good to you? Probably, no matter what, he would treat you better than James, right?"
Jessica immediately shook her head and said, "Grandpa, you misunderstood me. I have never done anything to betray James or the Kelly family."
Gerald sighed deeply and said, "I know you're a good kid, but if a man has broken your heart, you don't have to keep liking him. Although, I really can't bear to let you go."

Gerald had done nothing wrong.
Gerald looked at her as if she were his granddaughter and said, "If that person is good to you and you both love each other, then bring him here and let me see him. Although I'm old, I can still judge people accurately. If he is truly reliable, then I will bless you both."

She was stunned by her own words.

"You silly child!" Gerald smiled with relief and said earnestly, "I just have one question for you. If I get rid of that woman and her child, would you be willing to be my granddaughter-in-law again? Can you still accept James?"
