Chapter 587 Battle with Two-faced (1)
Isaac stood off to the side, watching as people criticized Rose. He was scared and gently tugged at her skirt. "Mom, let's just wait in line."
"No way!"
Rose knelt and spoke softly, "You're my precious baby. I'll do anything for you."
She remembered that James had already spoken to the hospital's administration. Surely, Susan would have to show her some respect and see Isaac first.
With that in mind, she looked disdainfully at the indignant crowd and said, "Go! Get Susan out here. Let's see who she says should be seen first!"
Just as she finished speaking, a clear voice rang out from a distance, "I'm Susan."
All eyes instantly turned to Jessica.
When Rose saw who this 'Susan' was, she froze.
She stared in disbelief as Jessica walked toward her.
How could this be?
Susan was actually Jessica?
Jessica frowned at Rose. Did she look like a ghost? Why was Rose looking at her with such fear?
Jessica walked up to Rose, looked her up and down, and said only one thing: "Please wait in line."
The other patients chimed in, "You heard her, right? Susan said it herself—wait in line!"
Rose was furious. She never expected Susan to be Jessica.
No wonder she was making things difficult for her and her son!
She let out a cold laugh and said, "So it's you. I was wondering who it was. You came back to Ocean City pretending to be an expert just for this moment, didn't you?"
Jessica looked at her, puzzled. "What are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb with me! Jessica, you have the nerve to call yourself an expert, a doctor! I don't think we need to see you anymore. Let me tell everyone, five years ago, she was just a medical student who hadn't even graduated. Do you really think someone this young could be an expert? It's all a scam, just a gimmick! She got some credentials abroad and came back to con people. It's ridiculous!"
After Rose finished speaking, the patients who had been waiting in line began to exchange uneasy glances.
They looked at Jessica's young, refined face, worried that Rose might be telling the truth. If she was, then all their waiting and anticipation would have been for nothing.
Jessica's face darkened. Who was this woman, spouting such nonsense?
How did she know her real name?
She seemed so confident, as if she knew her.
But none of that mattered now. Rose's actions and words had disgusted her.
Jessica looked at her and said, "From today on, you're on my blacklist. I hope you keep your word and never come to me for treatment again. Because I won't see your child."
Then she turned to the doubtful patients and said, "I'm sorry, everyone. Those who trust me can stay and continue to be seen. Those who don't can find another doctor."
She then told the nurse, "Continue calling numbers. Don't let her in again. I won't see her."
With that, Jessica returned to the consultation room and continued seeing patients.
Every parent who came out of the consultation room praised Jessica's medical skills and character, which reassured the patients still waiting in line.
Meanwhile, Rose left with Isaac, feeling humiliated.
In the car, Isaac looked at her worriedly and said, "Mom, why are your palms so sweaty?"
