Chapter 603 His Questioning (3)

"She probably doesn't even remember her own name now!"

Trying to keep his cool, he said, "Look, you've got it all wrong. I just want to talk to you alone, that's it."

"No need to talk. I've already told you, I'm not saving him."

Jessica's face was icy as she replied, "Mr. Kelly, instead of trying to threaten or bribe me, why don't you focus on your own issues with your wife? Seems like money can't fix everything, huh?"

James frowned, "Then what do you want?"

"Do as I say. If you've got money, use it to do some good and show me you're serious." Jessica smirked, "And bring your wife here to apologize to me until I'm satisfied!"

James looked at Jessica, feeling like she was a stranger. Where was the Jessica he used to know?

She seemed like she was sent by the heavens to collect a debt!

James snorted, "Susan, you should always leave yourself a way out. Someday, you might need help from others too!"

He gave Jessica a hard look and then turned to leave.

Not long after, Jessica quickly ran to the window to look down.

Sure enough, she saw him leaving the hospital building.

She finally relaxed, leaning against the wall with lingering fear, muttering softly, "Lunatic!"

Although she had been a doctor for many years and had seen many people resort to desperate measures for treatment, this was the first time she had encountered someone so blatant, even harassing her.

Indeed, birds of a feather flock together. What kind of good wife could a man like that find?

After leaving the hospital, James didn't go to see Isaac but went home instead.

On the way, he had already called Rose to come back home.

There were some things he needed to ask Rose clearly, but he didn't want Isaac to see them arguing.

At the front gate.

Rose looked at the still-lit living room and suddenly felt nervous.

James had called her earlier, telling her to come home immediately because he had something to ask her.

His voice was so cold that it made her uneasy.

Finally, she pushed the door open and went in.

James was sitting on the couch, his handsome face covered in frost, his deep eyes filled with gloom.

Rose forced a smile, "James, why did you call me back so late? Isaac can't be left alone. I need to go back soon."

James, sitting on the couch, looked up and asked coldly, "You knew all along that Susan was Jessica, didn't you? That's why you tried everything to stop me from seeing her, right?"

Rose was shocked, unable to hide her guilt and panic.

Her heart pounded wildly. When did James go to see Jessica?

James's voice grew sharper, "Why aren't you saying anything? Rose, why have you become like this? You're so scheming now. How did you become so complicated?"

Rose knew that if she didn't give him an explanation, the closeness she had worked so hard to achieve would quickly turn into distance again.

So, she bit her lip in a grievance, "Susan is really Jessica? I thought they just looked alike. If she was Jessica, how could she not recognize me?"

James stood up, walked to her, and angrily said, "You're still making excuses? Are you saying you didn't deliberately stop me from seeing her?"
