Chapter 36 Hold Her Tight
"Don't move." James held her tightly, his tone domineering and unquestionable.
Feeling James's intense possessiveness, Jessica's heartbeat couldn't help but quicken.
"Put me down, I can walk by myself." Jessica's voice was soft, with a hint of barely noticeable shyness.
James looked down at Jessica in his arms. Her cheeks were slightly flushed with embarrassment, like a ripe peach, making one want to take a bite.
"What? You weren't like this last night when you were under me." James's lips curled into a wicked smile, his tone ambiguous.
Jessica's face instantly turned crimson, glaring at him in shame and anger. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
"You know very well whether I'm talking nonsense or not." James said, blowing gently into her ear.
The warm breath on her earlobe made her shrink her neck involuntarily.
"You..." Jessica was so flustered by his teasing that she didn't know what to say.
"Alright, I won't tease you anymore." James, seeing her embarrassed and angry expression, was in a great mood.
"What do you want for breakfast?"
"Anything is fine." Jessica lowered her head, not daring to look at him.
"I'll make breakfast. You stay here and wait for me." James said.
Blushing, Jessica said, "Thank you, but put me down. I can do it myself. Let me make breakfast."
James ignored her, carrying Jessica to the dining table.
Jessica struggled to get down, but he held her even tighter.
Seeing Jessica still trying to get up, James frowned, "Don't move, sit still."
Jessica had no choice but to obediently sit in the chair, watching his busy figure.
James rolled up his sleeves and walked to the kitchen.
Jessica watched his back, feeling a mix of emotions.
To Jessica's astonishment, he began skillfully cracking and frying eggs.
His movements were smooth and practiced, clearly showing he often cooked.
Jessica was even more puzzled. He was the high and mighty president of Kelly Corporation. How could he be doing this?
In just fifteen minutes, a sumptuous breakfast was served.
"Eat."
James's tone was indifferent, not caring about her reaction.
He sat down across from Jessica, picking up a piece of bread and eating it.
Seeing that she hadn't moved, he finally looked at her, "Why aren't you eating? Don't you like it?"
Jessica snapped out of it, shaking her head, "No, I just..."
"Just what?" James put down his bread, staring at her intently.
Jessica felt uncomfortable under his gaze, lowered her head, and whispered, "I just feel like you don't need to be so nice to me."
"If I'm not nice to you, should I be nice to other women?" James's tone carried a hint of danger.
Jessica's heart skipped a beat, looking up to meet his deep eyes.
"You..."
"You're my woman; of course, I have to be nice to you." James said domineeringly.
Jessica's cheeks flushed slightly, and her heartbeat began to accelerate.
"Hurry up and eat. It'll get cold." James said, pushing the milk in front of her.
Jessica picked up the spoon, gently stirring the milk, her mind in a whirl.
Jessica finally snapped out of it, looking at the seemingly changed James in front of her with clear, puzzled eyes.
