Chapter 594 Incompatible as Water and Fire (2)
"Really? I'd love to see just how much pull the Kelly Family really has!"
Jessica immediately called security. "Hey, can you come in here? We've got a troublemaker. Escort her out."
In no time, two security guards showed up and each grabbed one of Rose's arms, dragging her out.
Rose was livid and shouted, "Jessica, you just wait! How dare you treat me like this? You won't get away with it!"
After Rose left, the clinic finally returned to its usual calm, and Jessica continued her work methodically. But Rose didn't leave the hospital. No matter what, she was determined to have Jessica treat Isaac today.
If she couldn't get Jessica to do it, James would personally come to deal with 'Susan,' and the consequences would be unimaginable.
So, Rose went straight to find the hospital director, Lonnie Caldwell.
James had already given a heads-up before, and the Kelly Corporation had donated a lot of advanced equipment to the hospital. Lonnie didn't dare to offend James easily.
Listening to Rose's complaints, Lonnie smiled apologetically. "Mrs. Kelly, I'm really sorry. Susan is indeed very skilled, but she has one flaw—she's quite straightforward and doesn't give a face to anyone. How about this? You can wait in my office for a bit, and I'll go talk to her."
Rose felt a bit vindicated and snorted coldly. "Well, I'll leave it to you, Lonnie. Honestly, your hospital spoils her too much. She's just a doctor, acting all high and mighty!"
"Yes, you're right. I'll definitely give her a good talking-to and make sure she treats your child."
Although Lonnie seemed authoritative in front of Rose, he knew very well that Jessica was hired at a high cost to attract more patients and elevate the hospital's status.
So, they couldn't afford to offend Jessica easily. They had to appease her.
With that, Lonnie personally went to Jessica's clinic.
"Susan, are you busy?"
Lonnie smiled warmly at her. "I just need five minutes of your time, okay?"
Jessica nodded politely. "Go ahead, I have a lot of patients waiting."
"Here's the thing," Lonnie cleared his throat. "Mr. Kelly has made significant contributions to our hospital. So, when his wife brings their son here, we should show them some respect. You understand, right?"
Jessica knew Rose wouldn't let it go, always throwing her weight around because her husband had money.
So, she replied coldly, "Mr. Caldwell, I'm only working at your hospital for a year. Technically, I'm not even your hospital's doctor. Since your hospital owes them such a big favor, let your doctors repay it."
Lonnie was left speechless.
He could only try to persuade her. "I know Mrs. Kelly can be quite arrogant and unpleasant. What would it take for you to treat her son? Name your terms, and I'll negotiate with her."
A sly look crossed Jessica's eyes. She said softly, "Since she has so much money to burn, how about this? She can cover all the medical expenses for the children I've treated these past few days. Consider it a charitable act. And she has to apologize to me in front of you."
Lonnie was stunned, realizing he had invited a troublesome woman.
