Chapter 233 If He Managed It Well, Jessica Might Not Know

When Jessica saw the desire in James's eyes, she quickly pushed him away and pouted, "Don't get any ideas. I'm on duty. Can't talk now. It's not good to be out too long."

"Alright, go back. Don't work too hard." James kissed the top of her head and watched her leave, his eyes filled with mixed emotions.

He thought he could never hurt someone as pure and kind as Jessica. But with Rose carrying his child, he was torn. What should he do?

James decided to handle the situation before Jessica found out. If he managed it well, she might never know.

Three days passed, and James thought a lot. Finally, he went to see Rose. Despite being pregnant, Rose was still teaching dance, not letting it affect her work.

During a break, she saw James outside and quickly came out.

"James, you're here." She linked her arm with his and said softly, "Do you miss me and the baby?"

James's face was cold. "Can we talk after you're done?"

Rose's heart trembled. She suddenly covered her mouth and ran to the trash can, looking like she was about to vomit.

"What's wrong?" James quickly patted her back, a bit nervous.

Rose retched for a long time but nothing came out. She rinsed her mouth and said pitifully, "I've been having severe morning sickness. Haven't eaten anything lately. What did you want to talk about? You can tell me now. I have to get back to work soon."

"If you're not feeling well, don't push yourself." James said helplessly. He knew Rose was dedicated to her work, which made her an excellent dancer.

Rose shook her head gently, "I must strive to provide my baby. If you don't want us, at least I can provide a good life for the child. Besides, I really like children."

She went back to the dance studio to continue teaching.

James had no choice but to wait outside. He saw her run to the trash can several times to retch, looking very worn out. When she finished class and came out, her face was pale.

James supported her and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, probably just a bit hypoglycemic from not eating." She seemed unsteady on her feet.

James was really worried. "Let's go to the hospital."

Rose looked at him excitedly, "You do care about our baby's safety, don't you?"

James didn't answer. He didn't know what to say. He didn't want her to have any accidents because of the child.

Meanwhile, Jessica had been watched closely by Cynthia and always came home very late.

Usually, James would pick her up. But today, he said he had something at the company and sent a driver.

Olivia had prepared a late-night snack and said softly, "Mrs. Kelly, you must be hungry. Have something to eat, take a bath, and rest early."

It was already past ten, and Olivia felt sorry for Jessica, who had been coming and going early and late every day.

"Thank you, Olivia." Jessica smiled at her. She drank a bowl of oatmeal and then ran upstairs.
