Chapter 599 He Finally Met Susan (3)

Nathan looked at Jessica standing before him, feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

This vibrant and cheerful Jessica was something he had never seen before her memory loss.

Nathan said softly, "I wish you could stay like this forever."

Jessica's smile faltered, and she looked at him puzzled, "What do you mean?"

Nathan shook his head, "Nothing, I just want you to be carefree and happy like you are now."

Time with Colt and Cordelia always seemed to fly by.

A few days later, Jessica was on a flight back home.

However, as soon as she stepped out of the airport, two bodyguards approached her, blocking her path.

"Excuse me, are you Susan?"

"Yeah, that's me. What's this about?"

Jessica looked at them, confused.

The bodyguards respectfully said, "Our boss would like to meet you. He has a favor to ask."

Jessica was taken aback, staring at the two strange men in front of her, feeling uneasy.

She responded coldly, "Sorry, I don't have time. If it's for a medical consultation, please make an appointment during my working hours."

With that, she started to walk away, dragging her suitcase.

But the bodyguards continued to block her path, clearly not intending to let her go.

Jessica glared at them, "Are you not going to move? There are security personnel all over this airport, and my colleagues are waiting for me. If they don't see me come out, they'll definitely call the police!"

The bodyguards exchanged glances. One stayed in front of Jessica while the other went to a nearby car, seemingly reporting to their boss.

Jessica suddenly felt a surge of anxiety. She had been bluffing; no colleagues were waiting for her.

If these men were really up to no good, she could be in serious danger.

With that thought, her eyes flashed, and she kicked the bodyguard in front of her hard, hitting him in a sensitive spot.

Then, Jessica turned and ran in the opposite direction.

She couldn't believe that in a busy airport, these men would dare to kidnap her in broad daylight.

Not far away, James had just gotten out of his car. He watched the running figure, his eyes narrowing sharply.

That figure looked so much like the person he had been searching for the past five years.

No, it couldn't be.

How could Jessica be Susan?

When she left, she hadn't even graduated from college. How could she have become such a renowned medical expert in just five years?

James calmed himself slightly, watching his bodyguard writhing on the ground from Susan's kick. He snorted, muttering to himself, "This woman really has some skills."

At the police station.

After escaping from the bodyguard, Jessica reported the incident.

"Miss, are you saying you were almost kidnapped at the airport?"

The officer looked at her, unharmed, with a hint of skepticism.

Besides, in a crowded place like an airport, who would dare?

Jessica nodded firmly, "Yes, two men in black stood in front of me, trying to take me to their boss. I suspect their boss has some malicious intent towards me. I don't feel safe right now."

The officer took her statement and apologized, "Miss, based on your description, we can't pursue or file a case at this time. Your evidence is insufficient, and you haven't been harmed."
