Chapter 206 You're the Purest Girl

Rose nodded approvingly. "Good job. You'll be rewarded. I'll handle your daughter's overseas dance studies. I know the professor well."

The manager, excited, bowed. "Thank you, Miss Morris! If you ever need anything, I'm here for you."

Rose added, "Keep an eye on the club. Let me know if James does anything."

The manager then invited her, "Miss Morris, our boss wants to meet you. He says the matter is settled."

Rose's eyes showed disgust. "Tell him I don't have time. I'm leaving."

The manager tried to persuade her, "Isn't that a bit rude? The boss runs the Skyline Club and helped you. If you upset him..."

Rose sighed and followed the manager to meet his boss.

At the hospital, Olivia held a tray. "Mrs. Kelly, what's wrong? Mr. Kelly broke up with that woman. Why aren't you eating?"

Jessica, sounding sad, replied, "I have no appetite. Take it away. I'll eat later." She regretted telling James about the assault. Maybe it was harder for him to accept than cheating. Who knew what kind of person that stranger was? He might have been filthy.

She wondered, 'Now that James is gone, will he come back?'

Olivia sighed, worried. "Mrs. Kelly, it's past eleven. You need to eat. The doctor said you need nutrition."

A deep voice interrupted, "Olivia, you can go. I'll handle it."

Jessica's eyes widened in astonishment at the sound of his voice, a spark of delight dancing in her gaze. She fixed her gaze on him. "I thought you wouldn't come back."

James took the bowl from Olivia. "If I didn't come back, were you planning not to eat?"

After Olivia left, Jessica said, "James, I need to tell you something."

James nodded, offering her oatmeal. "Eat first, then we'll talk."

Jessica nervously ate some oatmeal. Once she had enough, James set the bowl aside. "Alright, speak."

Jessica, feeling fragile, said softly, "If you think I'm dirty, I understand. No man can tolerate this. Even though it wasn't my choice, I'm not pure anymore."

James listened quietly, his face unreadable. When he spoke, his voice was calm. "Are you done?"

"We should get a divorce," Jessica said, her voice trembling and eyes tearing up. "I don't deserve you. I don't even know who that man was, what he looks like or how many women has he fooled around with?"

James quickly pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. His voice was hoarse with emotion. "Who said you're dirty? Jessica, to me, you're the purest girl."
