Chapter 546 Refusing Rose (4)

So, he immediately called Sean and told him to head to the bar and make sure Rose got home safely.

MAX Bar.

When Sean arrived, Rose was still drinking.

In her haze, she saw Sean, and it sobered her up a bit.

Sean was about to help her up, but she pushed him away forcefully.

She snarled, "Why is it you? Get lost! Tell James to come get me."

Sean had long been fed up with her. If Rose hadn't always caused trouble, he wouldn't have had to drag himself out of bed in the middle of the night, braving the cold to fetch her.

So, Sean sneered and said, "Ms. Morris, I suggest you stop making a fuss. Mr. Kelly won't see you. To be honest, Mr. Kelly is about to remarry Ms. Evans. Remarry, got it?"

"What?"

Rose was shocked, stumbling to her feet and grabbing Sean by the collar, gritting her teeth. "When? When are they getting remarried?"

Sean sneered, "That depends on Ms. Evans. Whenever she wants to remarry, Mr. Kelly will take her to get the marriage certificate. So, Ms. Morris, stop causing trouble! Otherwise, Mr. Kelly might lose the last bit of guilt he feels for you."

Rose stood frozen, unable to say a word for a long time.

Sean's words echoed in her mind, 'James is getting remarried.'

That single sentence kept swirling in her head, like a bottomless cold pool, drowning her completely.

Seeing her devastated look, Sean felt a lot better.

Now, he just wanted to get this troublesome Rose home as quickly as possible.

After all, no one wants to be out in the middle of the night running errands for the boss!

On the day of the MCAT, James personally drove Jessica to the test center.

As she got out of the car, he took out his phone and said, "Jessica, come on, let's take a picture to mark the occasion."

Jessica stood at the entrance of the test center, wearing a white shearling coat, tilting her head and smiling at him.

She looked like a snowman, or a doll, incredibly cute.

James captured the moment, then got out of the car and adjusted the scarf around her neck.

"Stay warm, don't catch a cold."

Then, holding her hand, he said, "Don't be nervous, I believe you'll do great. I'll be right here waiting for you, okay?"

"Here?"

Jessica blinked and asked, "Aren't you going to work?"

James joked, "My wife taking the MCAT is a big deal, way more important than work. Now, go on, don't be late."

Jessica felt so touched she wanted to cry. She suddenly threw herself into James's arms, hugging him tightly.

James was slightly taken aback, looking down at her, and gently stroked her hair. "What's wrong? Are you scared to go in? Silly."

Jessica sniffled and said, "I just feel like you're a parent sending their kid to take the SAT. When I took the SAT, my dad did the same thing."

James chuckled and said, "I'd rather be your husband than your dad."

Jessica blushed and said, "After my exam, you'll be my real husband!"

"Deal."

James couldn't resist planting a kiss on her lips, watching her as she walked into the test center.
