Chapter 489 Lawyer Watson, Please Make Love to Me (3)
Even though he treated her that way last night, she didn't care anymore.
After all, she came to him willingly, and it was her own choice.
"Thank you, Lawyer Watson. I'll wait for your news."
She bowed to him, hurriedly put on her clothes, and walked towards the door.
Michael called out to her, "Where are you going?"
Lily paused, looking at him in confusion.
She had already slept with him; what more did he want?
Michael seemed to realize her confusion, a slight curve forming on his thin lips as he said calmly, "From now on, Miss Stewart, I expect you to be at my beck and call. Don't make me wait, and don't do anything to displease me. Understand?"
Lily was startled.
His words were vague, but the meaning was clear.
He wanted her to be his mistress, to please him, and he hadn't mentioned any time limit.
But now, to get Adam out, she had no other choice.
So, she obediently nodded and said, "I understand."
"Good, go ahead. There's a party tonight. Dress up nicely and accompany me."
Michael instructed while tying his tie.
Lily sighed wearily and said, "Lawyer Watson, with what happened to my dad, the whole circle knows about it. I'm really not in the mood to attend a party. Can you find someone else?"
Michael sneered and said, "I almost forgot, Miss Stewart is so proud. How could she casually be someone's date, right?"
Hearing his sarcasm and displeasure, Lily finally agreed, "Alright, I understand."
With that, she opened the door and silently left his house.
However, as soon as she stepped out, Lily felt something was wrong.
She touched her neck; it was empty.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Oh no, the necklace her mom left her.
Lily hurried back, hesitated for a long time, and then pressed Michael's doorbell.
Soon, Michael opened the door, his handsome face showing a hint of confusion, "Anything else?"
Lily awkwardly said, "Sorry, I think I dropped my necklace in your house. Can I go in and look for it?"
Michael didn't say anything, just stepped aside to let her in.
Lily rushed into the bedroom, searched the bed for a long time, and finally found the rose gold diamond necklace.
It was the only keepsake her mother had left her, and she had always cherished it like a treasure.
Lily held the necklace tightly in her palm, as if holding warmth and family love.
At that moment, Michael's cold voice came from the bedroom door, "It's just a necklace, Miss Stewart. Why are you so nervous?"
Lily put on the necklace while explaining, "It was my mom's."
Mentioning her mom, a gentle smile appeared on Lily's lips, almost dazzling Michael.
By the time he came to his senses, Lily had already left.
Michael's gaze darkened, and reason told him he could not let Adam and his daughter go.
Leaving Michael's house, Lily returned to the Stewart family home.
The Stewart family home was no longer the same. All her belongings were packed and placed at the gate, and even the servants had been replaced.
Lily watched as the house, designed and decorated by Adam himself, was being demolished by workers, with Calvin enthusiastically directing them to redesign the villa according to his own ideas.
At that moment, she saw Jacob holding Sarah as they walked out of the villa, chatting and laughing with Calvin.
Their cheerful conversation stood in stark contrast to her current misery.
Lily's gaze fell on Jacob and lingered there.
