Chapter 19 Lingerie
Gerald, seething with anger, his mustache trembling, sarcastically muttered, "How come there's still no child?" His sharp eyes, like blades, bore into James. The men of the Kelly Family were all robust; how could there be any possibility of infertility?
James gritted his teeth, filled with humiliation. As a man, having his abilities questioned was truly unbearable.
To appease Gerald, James reluctantly compromised, "Grandpa, how about we try first, and if it doesn't work, then we'll consider the medicine?" He secretly prayed that this suggestion would satisfy Gerald.
Jessica looked at him in astonishment, her emotions a mix of confusion and complexity.
'Try?' She was full of doubts. How exactly did James intend to "try"?
Gerald pondered for a moment and then sternly said, "You better not be two-faced! If you dare let Jessica suffer under my watch, you know the consequences!" His words were like thunder, leaving James speechless.
Back in the bedroom, James began laying out blankets and pillows on the floor.
His tall and upright figure, set against the coldness of the room, appeared particularly lonely.
Jessica couldn't bear to watch this scene.
She knew that James didn't love her; their marriage was merely a transaction.
Jessica had already been dressed in sexy lingerie by the servants arranged by Gerald, her heart pounding with nervousness.
The sheer black lace fabric was tightly wrapped around her curvaceous body, her skin faintly visible, like a ripe peach exuding an enticing sweetness.
She felt extremely hot, almost naked, yet still unable to suppress the heat.
Could it be that Gerald had drugged her dinner?
Jessica's body was out of control, gradually consumed by desire. She couldn't help but tightly embrace James from behind, filled with anticipation and nervousness.
Her soft chest pressed firmly against his back as if trying to transfer all her heat to him.
At this moment, she was like a budding flower, tender and yearning.
They were the most familiar strangers.
Married for two years, James had always slept in the guest room.
Jessica knew that as the heir to the most prominent family in Ocean City, James had countless admirers, and their marriage was merely Gerald's arrangement, not his own will.
"James, I want to have a child with you." Her voice was as gentle as water, the transparent black lace lingerie outlining her voluptuous curves, exuding a hint of innocent allure.
Her warm breath brushed against his ear, carrying an indescribable sweetness.
"Jessica!" James's brows furrowed, his cold gaze instantly consumed by anger. "Isn't being Mrs. Kelly enough? Name your price. How much do you want?"
He abruptly turned around and pushed her away, his tone icy.
A gold-embossed VIP card was thrown at her feet, but Jessica didn't move.
Her heart was filled with bitterness; he had misunderstood her intentions.
She didn't want money, although their marriage, in his eyes, was a repayment for her mother saving Gerald. It wasn't her intention but Joan's arrangement.
"I don't want money." Jessica's eyes reddened, and her voice choked with emotion.
However, James didn't want to hear her explanation and interrupted her, "Are you that desperate, craving a man's embrace?"
The undisguised disgust in his eyes deeply hurt Jessica's heart.
Jessica felt a wave of panic, but she thought of the two years of coldness. Should she really take the initiative?
