She spoke sullenly, "At times like this, you're the only one I can think of, and only you can help me."
James furrowed his brows even deeper. So, it was only at times like these that she thought of him.

James's deep gaze fell on her face. He lifted her chin with his hand and said, "Since you want me to help you, why don't you help me too?"
Jessica looked at him in confusion and asked, "What do you mean?"
James said flatly, "Grandpa has always been worried about us. Before he passes away, I want him to see us reconciled so he can leave this world in peace."
Jessica thought it was going to be an unreasonable request.

James had already lost his patience and said bluntly, "Why don't you mortgage yourself to me, hmm? When you pay back the money, I'll give you your freedom."
