Chapter 210 It's All Your Fault

James softened his tone, "Alright, let's not dig up the past. No more arguing, okay?"

He then calmly advised, "Just a heads-up. When we get to the old house, blame everything on Jack. If anyone asks, say you don't know. I'll handle the rest."

Jessica hesitated. She really didn't know much, but now she understood what Jack had done for her.

She cautiously asked, "What if I clear myself and blame him? How will Mr. Gerald Kelly punish him?"

James pursed his lips, looking displeased. "What? Are you worried about him?"

Jessica heard the warning in his tone and quickly shook her head. She didn't dare tell James that Jack had once been kind to her during her loneliest times.

Sensing something, James softened his tone and reassured her, "Don't worry. He's Grandpa's grandson. Grandpa won't be too harsh on him."

They soon arrived at the old house. As soon as they entered, they heard Linda's sorrowful cries. "Mr. Gerald Kelly, you can't do this to Jack. It's all that bitch Jessica who seduced him, and Pearl should also be held accountable. These two sisters teamed up to harm Jack. You can't pin it all on Jack!"

Jessica and James reached the living room and saw Jack kneeling in the center, whip marks on his body, blood seeping through his torn shirt.

"Grandpa," James called out deeply, "I brought Jessica over."

Although Jessica had nothing to do with Jack, seeing this scene made her feel guilty. She moved closer to James and softly called Gerald.

Jack, kneeling on the ground, looked back at her deeply, his eyes filled with longing and regret. Jessica's heart pounded; she quickly lowered her head, unable to meet his gaze.

Suddenly, Linda barreled over. "You bitch! Jack's suffering is all because of you! It's all your fault!" She grabbed Jessica's hair and pulled her over, shouting, "Tell me! What were you and Pearl planning?"

At the same time, two men rushed toward Jessica. One was James, and the other was Jack.

Despite being beaten by Gerald, Jack used his last bit of strength to pull Linda away.

Gerald was so angry he almost fainted. He slammed his cane on the ground and roared, "How long are you all going to keep this up?"

Eventually, the uproar subsided, leaving Jessica trembling in James's protective embrace. Gerald, not softened by the calm, struck Jack's back with his cane once more.

"You bastard, not only are you a disgrace, but you've also ruined the Kelly family's reputation! Do you know that I don't even dare to leave the house now, afraid of people asking me about your dirty deeds!"

Jack collapsed to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Linda, crying hysterically, rushed to his side to help him up. "Jack, you need to speak up. How did Jessica and Pearl seduce you? Your dad isn't here now. If you don't tell the truth, even I can't protect you!"

Linda's insinuations were clear. She wanted Jack to blame the Evans family. Jack's eyes, bloodshot and desperate, met Jessica's once more.
